If the economy keeps up the way it has been, Trump will win 2020 handily.

I felt that voting for a successful businessman and executive would be the right thing to do when I did in 2016. It made sense to me that lifetime politicians are only good at being lifetime politicians. I have to admit that I have been pleasantly surprised by what a good President that Trump has turned out to be. I think he is the best in many, many years.

It is difficult to unseat an incumbent, let alone with the job numbers and economic growth. It is an uphill climb for anyone on the Left.

But the dems don't just want to tax the wealthy more. They aren't lowering them for anyone, unless you include those who basically pay none now. It is unpopular, and as the economy stays strong and keeps chugging it certainly will be more unpopular.

Yep, only way Trump loses is if there's a recession between now and election day.

When Trump was initially elected, I thought he'd likely be a one-term guy because I figured there'd be a recession between 2016 and 2020. There's still time for the economy to roll over between now and November 2020, but time is kind of running out for the economy to noticeably worsen far enough in advance of the election for people to feel it and get angry.

It used to be that only midwesterners moved to Tennessee after they sold their row house and retired from GM. Then there were the "half backs" that moved to Florida and came half way back to Tennessee because the didn't like the Florida heat. Now we have people from the northeast and the west coast moving in to my neighborhood and I'm not so sure I like it. They bring their liberal views and votes, but they want the conservative tax rates.

Nah, having more choices is always a good thing. Ability to fund their respective campaigns will begin to narrow the field later this year. Or Uncle Joe having too many mimosas before his next rally.
