Not in the least. Your dad fully deserved that deferment.Dodging the draft and receiving a legal deferment are entirely different.
My dad was drafted but got a deferment because he was the only male child and due to health my gandfather couldn't run the farm by himself, is he a coward? @ClearwaterVol you can answer also.
Some, to varying degrees, but none that I know of approach Trump. Clearly process my last point, it's how he accesses the value of others that I find most repulsive.Would you put Bill Gates, Soros, Bezos, the Tesla clown (old age strikes again), most of professional sports, Apple/Google fire starters, most of congress in that repulsive group, too? What about the talking heads who read news/propaganda; or the Hollywood elite who are to damn dumb to actually think? Or are some of those cleared because they donate to the DNC?
I dont fault anyone for trying to not go to Vietnam. Having been through "the sh!t" myself (mostly overbooked hotel rooms in the Air Force with no free breakfast) I wouldn't wish that stuff on anyone. Its fun to play dress up, shoot big guns, fly helicopters and planes and what not but that first round whizzes by your face, or you see a head explode, or realize you got charged hotel tax, things just got real!If you didn't join you avoided service. I don't fault you for that but you have no right to criticize anyone else who avoided it too.
Again, nothing wrong with a student deferment. Nothing wrong with a legitimate medical deferment. All had medical and or student deferments, no different than Trump.
