You are way, way more optimistic than I. Basically 35% of the country is unreachable. That was enough to elect him the first time around. It can be enough to elect him again.

I’ve said that the whole time and Trump already has the strategy , he said it during the SOTU address . He will bill it as socialism vs Capitalism .

I supported Bern in '16 and would be happy with him in '20, but if I felt that Trump (if he runs again) had a greater chance of beating Bern than Biden, then I would support Biden 100%.

I think it’s going to be a great social turning point if it’s the Bern . We as a nation will be deciding not on what candidate we like more but on what type of government we want . I find it fascinating .

If we as a country allow that 35% to once again elect Trump against the wishes of the other 65%, then I guess we get what we deserve: gloom, despair, and misery.

Sure it is if you think about it . We as voters always choose what we want , how we want it and who we want to govern it . This ( as far as I know ) will be the first time a professed socialist actually has a chance at becoming POTUS , now is the time we as Americans really decide which way we want to take the country . If Bern gets the nod , everybody will have some skin in the game . It’s fascinating because it will be a first .

It definitely will, if Bernie gets the nod (i don't think he will) we will find out how the country feels about an avowed socialist and socialism.

Bernie Sanders has no chance whatsoever against President Trump. President Trump would beat him like George HW Bush beat Mike Dukakis in 1988.

The Democratic Party higher ups will give the Democratic nomination to Joe Biden like they did Hillary Clinton in 2016. They do not want to nominate a communist candidate who will get slaughtered by President Trump in November 2020.
