I wouldn't be too quick to count independents as being Trumpers right now. They broke in favor Democrats in the midterms and especially in all red Texas and Georgia. BTW we'll gladly take the girly men, alphabet soupers and college students since you don't want them.

Who comes out to vote? It sure as hell isn't the tinkerbell brigade. Drum up all of your cronies from California and NewYork and you still lose because the majority of the country doesn't agree with your politics.

I think the Democrats are about to see a huge vote for Trump in the next election. Jobs are good, income is up and Trump doesn't tell white people they suck because they're white.

So wrong. The majority of Americans do agree with "our" politics. The popular vote has shown that time and again over the last several cycles. You are just fortunate that gerrymandering and the geographical distribution of voters favors you.....at least for now.

Yeah, because Democrats never gerrymander.

BTW, I know Democrats hate the electoral college now, but the current math/setup of the Electoral College actually favors Democrats. In any given Presidential election, Republicans have to carry all/almost all of the swing states in order to get to 270. If Dems get just a couple of the 50/50 states that matter, that's enough. Republicans have a much narrow margin for error there because there are far more safe Democratic electoral votes than Republican ones. Dems just need to carry their safe states and pick off a handful of swing states. Republicans have to win way more 50/50 balls than Dems do, so to speak.

2020 presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders on Monday defended his stance for granting voting rights to criminals in prison, including the Boston Marathon bomber and convicted sexual assaulters.

During a CNN town hall on Monday night, Harvard student Anne Carlstein asked if his position would support “enfranchising people” like Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who she noted is a “convicted terrorist and murderer,” as well as those “convicted of sexual assault,” whose votes could have a “direct impact on women’s rights.”

Sanders first responded by saying he wanted a “vibrant democracy” with “higher voter turnout” and blasted “cowardly Republican governors” who he said were “trying to suppress the vote.”

That would assume a constant ratio of educated to stupid vote within both parties. Now that is illogical
The 2016 phenomenon was largely due to that ratio being so out of wack.

You all fail to mention the Senate races from November. This country is still center-right, you will have a tough time with any of those loons running.
