Your argument was they paid to maintain sovereignty. That was a straight up lie. If anything, we just wanted a strong, sovereign West Germany to counter the Soviet Union.

How is it a lie? NATO was ready to divide Germany up between the victors. Them paying their "reparations" is so they could keep their sovereignty. Then NATO, being the crap organization it is, still split them up

They were split up because of ideological differences between the Western democracies and the Soviets. Not because NATO wanted it. And I'd love to see a source that Germany was about to disappear from the map before they bribed their way out of it.

You are fabricating arguments which are easier for you to win. My argument is Germany has apologized. That's just true. And they've paid billions in reparations. Those are undeniable facts.

That's great. Where is MY cut of that money. I don't care that they have paid because they haven't paid ME. My great great uncle was the one killed. Not the .gov's. Where is my reparation?

My entire point here was to show you just how ludicrous the whole reparations argument is. And you took the whole thing seriously. I don't seriously expect any money out of this. And what's more I don't DESERVE any, any more than some black kid in Nevada deserves reparations from you,me, the .gov because his great great great grandfather might have been slave. It's beyond idiotic.

I don't GAF about apologies. Apologizing for everything under the sun is a sign of weakness. Apologize for things you did or could have controlled. I don't apologize for bad weather on my flights.

BS. The Russians overran part of Germany and they weren't leaving without a fight. Now, should we have just continued fighting with a different enemy to salvage East Germany after the Russians plundered, pillaged, and raped ... fought for sloppy seconds against a country pretty much at home with a big army to bring to the fight? Hint: Americans are all gung ho for war until enough bodies come home. Oh, yeah, we still had a real war going on in the Pacific ... remember a guy named Churchill? He kinda demanded that we beat the Germans before taking on the Japanese, so Europe's war was over ... ours wasn't.
