I like his speed. We will need it if the o-line can't protect JG and he gets injured. Having someone able to come in that can move around will certainly help open up some things IMO.

Hate to burst your bubble but the starting QB job is not up for grabs. If JG loses the job it will be because of in game performance, not anything that happens today or in fall camp. Maurer and Shrout are battling for the backup job.

Wasn’t a guy by the Manning vying for a backup spot too? Oh yeah, we seem to forget that. I would definitely give the first start to JG but if he screws it up like I expect him to do, then we will see Maurer. How many times will it take for the coach to say, “we have to get the ball out quicker”. That is a constant theme regarding JG, but I will root him on until he loses the job and then I will root on the next man up.
