Lou Dobbs posted a poll on his show that Trump had a 55 percent approval rating. Georgetown poll.

Trump tweeted it, of course.

Tens of millions of MAGA goofballs retweeted it.

Problem: that's his DISapproval rating! His approval rating is still stuck at 40 percent.

Fox' correction? The next day they said simply that it wasn't "entirely accurate."

There ya go. Liars supporting the liar in chief, unable to admit their lies when shown to them in unquestionable form. This is what is wrong with right wing media. An echo chamber of falsehoods.

Rasmussen has him over 50. Now I know you will screech about that poll. I would like to point out it was the second most accurate poll in 2016 probably bc of the way they updated their polling model. But you know dismiss away.

Has nothing to do with the op. They all touted a poll they read backwards and never corrected themselves. Righties on this board would have pissed themselves to be the first to post had a dem done the same.

The false reporting of this poll will probably swing the 2020 election to him. In fact, history book will make this precise moment when DJT turned his presidency around.

Truth be known it’s higher, thanks to liberals afflicted with TDS such as yourself many people are afraid to divulge their approval for Trump. MAGA 👍

Still not a liberal and maybe they're just scared to publicly support a president who has trouble with percentages. Or maybe they're those snowflakes you all are always droning on about

I'm sure you would agree that the most accurate way to measure a President's approval rating is by using the Real Clear Politics Average (RCP) which currently has Donald Trump at 43.1%. This prevents polls which might be an outlier from having an undue influence on public perception. I'm not going to accuse Rasmussen of being biased (though Nate Silver has) but I will point out that their poll not only fluctuates more than most (they had Trump at 53% yesterday but just 50% today) but they also tend to run about 4 percentage points higher for Republican office holders/candidates than what is the RCP average. It is never that way, however, for Democrats.
