Oh boy, got a realist in here folks, look out. The difference between the intern and Pruitt is simple: Pruitt has actually coached at a high level. The intern had never accomplished anything. Pruitt has multiple national championships and is highly regarded as being, if not the best, one of the very best defensive coordinators in college football.
Further, we didn't have to google Pruitt's staff like we did the interns. Everyone on Pruitt's staff have coached at an extremely high level, most in the SEC, and most have one championships. They have put multiple guys in the NFL and have recruited and developed some of the best players in college football over the last decade.
But tell me again how this staff and Pruitt compares with that Mac coaching staff we had before him.
Hey I just wanna see the wins. Cautiously optimistic if we can continue to recruit top 10 classes!
ExactlyTruth. And Pruitt wasn’t making excuses. He was sending a message to his players. He literally said some are doing it the right way. Others aren’t, but I promise you I’ll sign 25 guys in February who will. That’s a message to players not us.
The intern on the other hand was talking about how guys have never been on an airplane before and how young we are, telling us it takes 8 years to build a successful program. Those are excuses
Shooting isn't a talent??? Come on man..that is ridiculous. I agree it can be honed, but the talent has to be there.Another thing...it's really not fair to compare football and basketball.
Barnes was in year 3 before he got UT over the 500 mark. I think the year 3 success was actually a bit ahead of schedule, no where near the same sort of expectations on that year that Pruitt is starting to see in his 2nd year. 8 wins or more in football isn't a cake walk in the SEC.
Basketball is a 1 recruit sport, you get 1 guy who is a real legit NBA talent and you take a 500 squad to a conference champion NCAA team (Matt McMahon at Murray State for example). So it's really not apples to apples. Most good/great basketball coaches can scheme up with less talent far easier than a football coach.
Reasons why this is true
1. Less bodies to deal with less players 12-15 instead of 85, 3-5 assistants/staffers instead of 9 on field and another half a dozen
2. Good shooting is good shooting period. If you can shoot the ball height, athletic talent, speed, agility, all that doesn't matter. Shooting isn't a "talent" it's a skill that you can improve through practice and hardwork.
3. Because of 1 & 2, you can take a bad team and make them good/great with less pieces in place.
It really is rare that 1 player can impact a football team's success as much as 1 player can impact a basketball team's success.
Yes! I do expect better development for sureAnd development!
You can't just bring them in and wish for them to be superstars. That's where I'm most bullish on this coaching staff. I expect to see a big jump in the "eyeball test" alone. They say year 1 to year 2 (and game 1 to game 2) is where you see the biggest jump.
I think it is an amazing coincidence that all of our signees weigh 247 pounds.2019 Committed:

I think if Grant and/or Bone leave Ihnen might be added to the 2019 class. If both leave I think the 2nd scholarship would be filled with a grad transfer.
@SmokinBob was another one
I used to assume she was a 62 year old trucker, rolling across America carrying thousands of cases of PBR. The remnants of 10,000 Marlboros deeply entrenched in his Bill Dance era cap, and the faint stains of sauces from a dozen gas stations still lingering on his 1985 sugar bowl shirt held together by ever decreasing threads of cotton.
Now, I just assume she is Meg Ryan

I have seen him many times there. He always looks like the happiest person in the world. Glad to hear more of his story. His name is Tom and I used to work with him. You will not find a better person on this planet. He gave comfort to so many people that came through the hospital, rather it be praying with them or singing for patients. One of the best people I have ever known.
If you ask him to pray for you he will get down on one knee right then and there and pray with you. He's an Elvis impersonator and he would sing for patients who family members had asked him to.I have seen him many times there. He always looks like the happiest person in the world. Glad to hear more of his story.
He's a good thing. Straightened the books and got academics stronger before trying to get football. A lot of people thought all he was there for us to get his football legacy but those were mostly adjunct who just liked to complain a lot. Heck he came on one of our birding field trips just to talk to us boring biologists about what we think of ETSU.I am sorry but who is this?
hospice?Just finished reading your email, I'll get back but it may not be before your bedtime. (Just wanted to say it like that)
Was supposed to have my 1st ever hospice home visit today. Get a call from them and they're like
"So, do you have your I.V. fluids there?" And I'm like "wut? Let me check my - for medical professional use only drawer... nah, turns out I'm fresh out of those".
So now, I get to play the call err'body and figure out the next step, game.
I was feeling grave, so I didn’t ask the question. When the H word gets uttered, it gets a little real. Back to skinny rapper names with you!I think I used the wrong term maybe?
A nurse coming to my home so they don't have to send me to the hospital for the intravenous medications...
Home healthcare?
Sorry, new to all this.
