He was talking about effort not talent. I totally understood where he was coming from having been a teacher. I could take an average TCAP to above average if they would put forth the effort. I also had many that were way above average but refused to even read the questions on half the tests knowing they would still get average scores.

Since you're a teacher I'll pray for you fam....My wife is a teacher so I know the hell yall have been though the last several years.

So here's the roster as it sets going into next season for Basketball I've only removed seniors & walk-ons at this point. Question is if we lose both Bone & Grant how many spots are open for recruits and where does the staff go to fill the 13 scholarships?

So if we lose Grant & Bone that opens up 2 more scholarships...I know the 2019 Class still has prospects still not signed, is that the direct we'd go or possible grad transfers?

I think they have to explore the grad transfer market.

Guys and Gals, I need your thoughts and prayers again. As if life hasn't delivered enough tragedy to me in the past couple of months (the house fire, losing my cat, and my mom being sick (but thankfully slowly recovering), I'm typing this from UT hospital and staring down the possibility that the person who I've shared nearly my entire adult life with may have cancer. He's my partner, my best friend and soulmate (I know most of you didn't know I was female while a few of you jackholes are thinking "no wonder she likes the LVs" lol) and I honestly don't know what I'll do if it comes back cancer.

I feel like life is pushing me to absolute limit right now. Thoughts, prayers, stupid jokes, or any other silly diversion is welcome right now.

Prayers for sure. Sincerely hope it's not cancer and you all get some relief from the rough times you have been having.

The revelation that you are not a male is akin to finding out @HankHill is a man of color. Both shake the core of what I believe about life.

I’ll be in town in June and would love to come pray for him, if you’re open to that. I know you are skeptical regarding religious faith, so if you don’t want to have those conversations, i’ll respect that and still come to pray. Of course, I’m open to conversation as well. I have a great respect and love for skeptics

Like most "insiders," they are received with a mixed bag. Most people discount Basilio right away, but I like listening to him. I do believe he really tries to stir the pot. I think "X" is marginally reliable. That is totally my opinion, only.

I was optimistic about x. But I went and read it a minute ago and he spelled half the recruit’s names wrong. How reliable can he be if he can’t spell “mays”?

hmmm. i'm not sure how i'd feel about that. he's like the anti Alexander...sort of. i think he's stronger around the rim. but i don't know that he's any more a contributor? i mean aside from demeanor, is there a negligible difference between the two? Hall disappeared thruout their season too......

I always thought she used partner and significant other - without mentioning gender, for different reasons. Guess I never just put any more thought into it because all I cared about was UTP has been a friend and nothing beyond that mattered.

Had a conversation with someone that knows Pearl and he said the NCAA is waiting g for the FBI to finish then they're going to pounce.

I haven't had a chance to look. I would think we could use a big man and point guard. That's assuming both Grant and Bone are gone.

Rebounding...he'd be an upgrade over Kyle, no Grant replacement though. I'm not sure we can find a Grant replacement as a grad transfer though. We'll rely more on Walker, Burns and Fulkerson without Grant but we really need a proven rebounding big I think if we're going to take in a grad transfer.

I mean Hall was just someone who came to mind cause I felt like Avery wasn't great at coaching up his talent.

Hall was a heavy double-double flirt all season 10.4 ppg, and 8.8 rbg...he had some low minute games where he really didn't produce but for the bulk of the season he was good for at least 5 rebounds. Also didn't foul out in a single game, so I kind of think Barnes & staff could get a bit more from him. And even if they don't bringing in 10/8 would be solid.

I haven't had an opportunity to look. I'm not sure the pool is completed yet either. Some names will be added shortly I would think.

I just don't know how likely it is another SEC guy would transfer to play against his old team for a season though.
