Those are city taxes and a lot of major cities have wacky taxes. Hell, we're the only state university that has to pay an 'entertainment tax' to the city they reside in on all football games as well as men's and women's basketball games. Cities can only do so much with states getting the main portion of sales taxes so they come up with weird taxes to raise money for schools, infrastructure, and so on.

I believe that you spoke to a D1 coach. I also believe that coach told you something. Why would that coach know anything more than the rest of 'insiders'? Are he and CRB tight? Did CRB consult him on the decision?
