It would be too catastrophic for them. They would have reviewed that single play from 6 seconds down to 2 seconds, realized they missed not 1, but 2 calls in a mere 4 seconds, considered their poor life choices and just walked out the building.

Yes win or lose matters in the end, but that isnt what we are discussing. We are talking about how to estimate how good a team is. Simply looking at W/L is not the best determinant of future success, ie who is good. That is how pollsters think. Like putting #12 northwestern at 10-2 with #25 ut at 8-4 in a bowl game...#12 should clearly be better right? yet vegas had ut as a 9 pt favorite...hmm how does that work? SoS, margin of victory, luck factors all being ignored if you only go by w/l.

Even the committee knows this using NET, quadrant wins, etc. Mich st was a 2 seed for a reason. Mich st lost a total of 7 games with #2 sos. We lost 6 games. We trash now too? lmao

That reason was to see Auburn get their hearts ripped from their chest.


That toilet paper in Toomers this morning says mission accomplished. Tournament over.

Saddest aspect of this BB season is the Vols could have won the championship if we had gotten anything from the bench other than Bowden. Bench really let us down.
If Pons, Johnson or Walker could have contributed anything, this would have been a much better team. By seasons end we were a tired team

I talked to two retired refs today, both said they would not have called foul like that at end of game

Had a good spring game yesterday. I've been as judgmental about him as any, but I hope he has a great career at the pig school. He's coming back home this weekend and attending prom and going to walk the graduation line in May. Go Blackman Blaze !!!

I was just in the Ebony Jackson thread. I found out that we are recruiting at a sub par level and the staff isn’t that good at evaluating players.

How so?

She’s used to being in the spotlight and on tv. She would win every interview and presser. Would have to think she would recruit just as well as holly bc of that and i think it’s safe to assume she would be better X’s and O’s too

Seemed like a a Pat clone when she played here. Obviously very knowledgeable of the game when you listen to her on TV. A familiar face to basketball recruits due to her being a broadcaster. Pat gave her a lot of responsibilities as kind of a player coach on the court. I just don't see how this is a bad move.

You’re assuming she’s a good coach? Is that enough to hand over the keys to arguably one of the top women’s basketball programs in the country? She’s gonna win the interview and pressers? Why does that matter? You’re only strengthening my argument that this is a political hire at best to please the lady vol contingent.

It’s been proven you don’t even need coaching experience to win at a high level in basketball (Steve Kerr). The days of going out and stealing a comfortable high profile are pretty much over. Even for the best programs

Apples/oranges. Steve Kerr doesn’t work out in the NBA and he’s fired after 5 games and next man up. College basketball and the wrong hire sets you back a couple of seasons due to messed up recruiting classes and buyouts.
