He has no intention of coming back if the draft grade is what he wants to hear.

This isn’t hard to figure out. Exact same thing as Admiral last year

Everyone should do it
I hope you're right. I really need Bone to come back, and I hope Jordan comes back too.

What a crowd, what a crowd!

Starting to learn?

Don't let semantics get in front of the lesson.

He's only started 18 games. 6 under a dead coach in a leadership vacuum. 12 under a first year coach. He still has two years to play.

For a guy who's had as many QB coaches and OC's as JG has had, I can understand it taking some time to get his footing and be a true leader that teammates look up to. I'm sure last year he tried being more vocal, but you can talk all you want; it doesn't guarantee guys are listening.

Deepest positions to shallowest:

Ocean-deep
WR
: Senior-laden. Still some concern about underclassmen behind them, but Ramel and (hopefully) Tillman can help. (Experienced) depth may be more of a concern in 2020.

Great Salt Lake-deep
TE
: DWA, plus Lowe, Jacob Warren, and Sean Brown. Freshmen have been known to start and do well, and fortunately we have JW who's got a year in the program, and Lowe has come in as big as advertised.
RB: Chandler can start basically anywhere in the country. If Banks maintains his explosiveness and fixes his fumbling, we can have a potent 2-back duo. Gray should see his share of reps, and Jordan has hopefully figured out how to squeeze through smaller holes along the OL. Also really like CFA as a wrinkle player at the minimum.
LB: So many pieces, such a diverse group. Not a lot of stand-out performances to this point, but I think this group has a competitive churn to it unlike any other position group on the roster. How many are starting quality, we don't know. But we could see a lot of situational subs, which may keep guys fresh.

Mississippi River-deep
OL
: We can only hope that continuity and S&C has helped with marginal Butch leftovers like Tatum, Locklear, and Niehaus. I've got good faith in Ryan Johnson and Jerome Carvin, and I'm so glad Wanya is an EE. Worried about Jahmir's size and Kennedy's health. Doubt that McBride, Lampley, and Akpo contribute until their third years into the program

TRECs Swimming Pool-deep
DL
: We'll have a lot more pieces once summer gets here-- Middleton, Williams, Simmons. We still have a lot of names here in the meantime, but there's questionable quality, at least outside of Gooden. Can Solomon stay healthy (and what about that waiver)? Can guys like Mincey, Emerson, Butler, and Allen take the next step? Can Taylor find consistency?
S: Warrior, and who? Tank seems promising early, but may be splitting time at the Money/Star position. Flowers looked to be figuring it out, before a broken collarbone sidelined him for the second half of last year. Theo Jackson seems like a player. Maybe Beasely steps in and sees meaningful reps some time this year?
CB: Alontae and Bryce changed the entire outlook of this position group last year. Buchanan got better as the season wore on. Guys like Shamburger and Labruzza have been non-factors, and are likely already recruited over with Burrell and Fields coming into the fold. Need Alontae and Bryce to stay healthy (and not get kicked out for targeting, Alontae...) for this position not to be a total weakness.

LB has a lot of bodies but the ones returning are just bodies. Hopefully the new guys start.

No doubt. They do it the right way. They are going be scary with jimbo

Thankfully we got lucky with Pruitt and Barnes (and Fulmer for that matter). But I'm still not convinced there's a true desire to win at the top. Pruitt and Fulmer are the last stands for the football team. We'll get a Dave Doeren hire if Pruitt doesn't work out.

Not ready to call us lucky with Pruitt but Barnes is exactly what we needed for basketball. Stability and sustained success. Let’s have a run for the next day 3-5 years of a good teams just like this one and then when he decides to retire it should be a very sought after job.

Whomever wrote that loses all credibility with describing the Kentucky game as a "formidable" challenge. We cannot afford to overlook anyone, but calling Kentucky "formidable" after losing two of their best players ever is pretty silly.

If I'm a national writer talking about a team that's won 9 games in 2 years, I would throw the word "formidable" under every opponent haha

We have a decade's worth of winning seasons ahead of us to regain the national respect we have lost. The Decade of Pruitt.

I think it’s a combo of lacking a true desire to win at an elite level and believing we simply may not be able to win at an elite level. Reading between the lines of a Doug Matthews show a few weeks back, I think there are some at Tennessee that doubt we can return to the 1990s in the current SEC landscape. Matthews talked about a late night conversation he had with UT folks after signing day on that topic, and the way he phrased it, it sounded like those folks had doubts with Bama and UGA being so good now and A&m being in the league, etc.

For my part I don’t see why we can’t at least be Auburn. Not exceptional every year but at least relevant, with a decent shot at a title every few years when the pieces fall in the right place....

I know you've said previously that we have what we have in Bituli and you're not expecting more from him.

I'm probably bordering on too hopeful about Bituli, and maybe Reid, and Ignont. I think all three still have potential. That said, we'll definitely need JJP, QC, and probably HT to get some valuable snaps this year. Bonus if Harrison can play early.

Excessive soylent consumption.

Tomorrow, 1st procedure in attempt to alleviate some of the pain and swelling.
I would let them cut into me with dual chainsaws at this point, if they guaranteed me less pain afterwards.

Miss being able to focus enough to carry on conversations here but read what I can.
Any of them positive vibes and "good lucks" you have laying around, sure would be appreciated. Because something's got to give.

Praying for you Charger!
