Prayers for orangeredblooded

Good morning, Jenny! How are you doing?
I’m doing better today, thank you for asking. I had a bad day yesterday. It happens to all of us. I was just feeling sorry for myself, at the time, yesterday. Just hard sometimes to be in constant pain and not be able to do my job, like I am accustomed to, and see the look on everyone’s face when they look at me. I have good kids that work for me and look out for me. Doesn’t make it right in my eyes. But, today, I worked all day without getting sick, that’s a good day, and it was.

Continuing to pray for for you Jenny

Can I ask you something, MBRO? I know my situation is nowhere near the situation you went through, and thankful to God, you pulled through it. Thank you, our Lord, that you did. How did you deal with the everyday people that are in your life and family members constantly asking you “how are you and what can I do for you? Please don’t get me wrong, I love and appreciate each and everyone of them, but because I love them so much, I feel like I have to reassure them all the time, which is fine. Just makes me tired.

What if you just said, "Figure out your best way to love me. That's what I need." :)

It's the need to do something, anything. Family and friends don't know what that should be, but all you really need is for them to love you hard. If you need something I'm sure you'll tell them.

You’re right, vollygirl, but my mother is a different type of force. Lol. That woman could win a war on her own. Thank God for that.

Trust me, I understand. It is exhausting. My wife has running interference with the texts and calls. I try to understand that they all care, and are well meaning.

I've kept it from extended family for the most part. I still haven't put anything on Facebook about it.

Me either, too much exposure on Facebook and I despise Facebook, different discussion for different day. At least on here, we are anonymous.

I don't like it when people use social media as a means to broadcast their health issues, especially when they over dramatize the situation.
True. My main concern is that I have a few family members that that will try to dramatize it for themselves, and my wife and kids don't need that. Especially some of her family.

I cringe every time I see someone post a picture of their child without a shirt on. Don’t get me wrong, I understand being proud of baby pictures, but no parent knows who has access to that photo, or the fights between two people in public forum.

I found out today, my favorite uncle asked for prayers from church members for me. Don’t get me wrong, Prayer is absolutely the best medicine. Unfortunately for me, two of the church members are also part of a civic group I cater to each month. Now, ever time they come to my place of business, they ask my employees, my boss and anyone passing by, what is wrong with me. I greatly appreciate any concern, but it can get somewhat uncomfortable.

You seem pretty ungrateful that people are concerned about you. Yes, I'm totally kidding. I know exactly what you mean, and that's why I ry real hard not to tell anyone anything until I absolutely have to. Especially at church. If I want or think I need their prayers, I just ask for an unspoken prayer.

Then there are times you just have to pull yourself up by the boot staps and deal with it.

In the meantime @Orangeredblooded how are you doing today and do you need anything from your vn pals? 😃

PS don't hurt me.

You are awesome windy, as all my family here. Thank you for asking. Rough day to begin with, but got better in afternoon. I’m putting that off to middle age and not on the Situation (that’s what I call it now). Haven’t heard a peep out of VA since I turned in paperwork last week, now I’m getting mad. I will be getting some sort of answers by next week. Sigh, it’s the VA.

Behr, hope no one takes this the wrong way (religion is such a trigger), during my first cancer scare, What made me feel closer to God, was when I would be alone, look up to the sky and pray, plus recite Pslam 23, not when a group prayed with me. Not saying there is anything wrong with that (can’t ever have enough prayer), just what works for me.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying, but cool.
