(I got this off another board but it was kinda funny).

Someone suggested wouldn't it be funny if Fulmer was fired and became o/l coach at Alabama.:eek:lol:

He's looking to become President of the Detroit Lions.

He might do okay in the Big10 where many of the teams still like to just line up the big uglies and see who can run it down whose throat. Plus Zook is up there so he's got that going for him.

Fulmer could go to MTSU and ride off into the sunset before retiring in Winchester just a few miles down the road...

this is it for Phil. Only at Tennessee can you produce subpar seasons consistently and obtain lucrative employment contracts. He would never find this kind of security anywhere else, or hordes of insecure fans who think he is the only man that can coach their team anywhere else. The Tennessee job is a dream job for an average coach...a kiss ass athletic director, insecure fans, a "weak" recruiting base to fall back on and the biggest sheep of them all...Vol12, moderating the main message board.

If he is not coach here then they will put him in the front offices...You know Hamilton will not let him get too far.

One thing I noticed after the 98' Championship is no one ever mentioned Fulmer's name when a high profile job came open. I always thought that was a little odd, unless he has made it known that he isn't interested at coaching anywhere else. Even Houston Nutt was talked about when some Big 10 or Big 12 jobs opened up.
