So winning a full season within your conference means nothing? That is utterly convoluted. Yes, the NCAAT will always be what is remembered, but it's an absolute crapshoot. A regular season title is earned.
It’s similar to winning your division in football, doesn’t matter unless you win the championship game and make the playoffs

Just thought we'd pull it out with the championship on the line.

Tough to beat shiz calls and some bad luck. I mean, Grant has a masterful block in the last 2 minutes and it straightlines right into Auburn's hands with 3 on the clock and nail a 3. I mean wtf.

Sometimes things just don't go your way. But we fought and fought hard. We wanted it A LOT, we simply lost. But glad to see our fight and defense recently. It bodes really well. We should be excited going forward...also, if that's at home we are champs right now. Same with LSU game. Shiz scheduling luck.

But you've won your entire conference. You are the conference champs. Not a division. It matters as much as anything, outside of a natty.

Qft. I can guarantee the team is extremely disappointed. Their goals were still even more than an SEC championship or SEC tournament championship. Their goals are still out there for the taking.

Yep. They control how far they go. There were always bigger prizes, but there's no sense pretending back-to-back regular season championships wouldn't have been a milestone for a program trying to be elite. And getting the program's first 1 seed would have been a big deal, too, and the odds of that took a nose dive. The big goals are out there. Let's see what they can do.

But BVS coping mechanisms make us not look at it that way

Auburn might go from not being ranked going into regular season finale to a 4 seed.

They should. Human pollsters are morons and focus waay too much on W/L records. They're a really good team. LSU is the opposite, dang lucky and w/l is inflated.

We don’t have a guy to run point when Bone is sitting. I thought earlier this year that Turner was gonna be capable, but he’s been awful the last 10 or so games.
