My baseball career ended in little league because all of a sudden I couldn't hit a ball or catch anything. Got moved to outfield and struck out every at bat. Turns out my vision had completely gone to crap over the summer, but by the time I got glasses/contacts, the damage was done and I already hated baseball.

Threw a mid 70s fastball in 7th grade. Then I tore my rotator cuff before the season ever started. By the time I fully healed as a HS freshman, my fastball was probably 5-10 mph slower. Sucked.

Of course my dad always had me dreaming of going pro when I was really young. Little did he mention a very very small % of pro pitchers are under 6 feet. About 5%. Pitchers under 5'10 are white whales. I'm a fully grown 5'9 now. Never had a shot...

Off topic...I think Wanya ends up starting at guard.

Tatum will be a tackle and then it'll be Wright or JJ as the other one.

Assuming Morris is 6'4" as it appears on the roster. Chris A. may also be in the mix at tackle considering his strength.
I don't think any of the FR start at the beginning, I think they will be when the inevitable injury bug hits.

This is why i wanted to hire a new fresher mind. But regardless Pruitt is going to only allow the offense he wants and is comfortable with.

Not sure this conclusion is actually true (that he wanted a specific style). He was quoted after the search saying he just wants points and doesn't really care how. As far as we know he tried to hire the Ok St guy and interviewed multiple other guys of the same scheme.

That said, I think he PREFERS a guy like Chaney, but he seemed more than ready to go with the Ok St guy. I still hate we didn't land him. I've always thought Big 12 offense + SEC defense is the way to go. Basically close to what Clemson has accomplished, rolling over Morris's scheme with a big upfront defense. Never understood using a scheme that requires more talent than less.

I still want Missouri's offense scheme

Right?? Who's baby would you say it is? Was it Pinkel's?

5 man fronts creates some explosive running attacks and their newer usage of RPOs is just deadly. Basically what Ok St runs. Seeing both in the bowl you couldn't tell much difference, except Ok St ran the QB more.

Same system does not equal same playcalling sequences. Thank god for that.

It's possible, but there is a common, yet refuted, misconception that you must run a lot, especially on 1st downs, to be successful on PA passes. I fear this will roll over into more of the same.

On the flip side, using PA passes can actually set up better running opportunities. But Helton clearly didn't understand the data and research (or didn't know of it) and old school slogans continued ("stay ahead of the chains", "run to set up the pass").

As for Chaney, he ran a ton on 1st down last year. Granted, they simply ran a lot regardless and with good reason. Hoping he just thinks our running stinks and he airs it out more on 1st down here.

Deal apparently is off. Strange rappaport would run with a story like that and people are now acting like it wasn't close. Makes me think AB said he wouldn't report or sign a deal. Steelers going to have tough time trading him it appears. I'd just make his butt sit
I talked to a good friend today who is an ex Steeler. He said he wouldn’t want Brown on his team under any circumstance. Things were said and done that people on the outside have no idea about. I didn’t push what.....I just know there was no hesitation in his answer.
FWIW.
Steelers are going to get next to nothing in return.

Go on...

He patterned his offense after Southlake Carroll’s in DFW. Todd Dodge taught it to him over a couple of weeks in the Summer before Chase Daniel’s senior season there.

Some sports can be awesome to play in and atrocious to watch. Also, I think some sports can be terrible to watch on TV and awesome in person. Golf is a good example of that. Walk around with Jordan Speith, Rory McElroy, or Phil Mikleson and you gain a real perspective of what a golf shot should look like.

Played baseball though Dixie Seniors and then city league for different company's along with weekend tourney's and then many years of Church softball. I then got the golf bug and have been a golf addict since. I love watching it on TV and I love playing it. And yes it is incredible what the pros can do with that little round ball. Shaping it in whatever direction that they need. I have gotten to play around the world. South Africa, Australia, Ireland, and some awesome courses here in the US like Sawgrass. Use to watch the Braves when I had a good friend who was a relief picture back in the day when Smoltz and Glavin were just getting started. Jose Alvarez was his name. Use to spend weekend home games with him and his family. Now baseball bore's me to death. Football was my main sport through school.
