$800k+ for a basketball player.

What do y’all think is going rate for football players in SEC?
You know it's ridiculous at places like Bama. I've been saying for years that Tennessee does do some shady stuff, they all do, but then I believe Bama takes it to a totally different level.

I think JJ anchors a G spot and stays there. I don't think losing 1 inch on the roster means Wayna moves to G. I agree that Tatum probably starts at a T. I don't think Arkpo gets up to speed on time to start but he will definitely be a G.

JJ & Tatum being in year 2 under Friend and Fitz is why I give them the edge. Both have length and great feet.

Carvin, Morris, Arkpo, Ryan could be fighting for Guard spots. I actually think Carvin & JJ are going to show they are the best returning lineman.

LSU should be smart (that's right I said it) and do a self ban from the post season this year
Why would they do that? At this point, they have nothing to lose. If the wins are going to get vacated, you may as well get as many as you can. The damage is done. Their fans won't cheer any less if they are worried the wins will get vacated a couple of years down the road. Although I guess the NCAA could go easier on them if they self impose. They are not a blue blood so they're likely to get hammered.

This Matt Jones KY fan pretending to be a media guy is getting to me too much. The guy is obsessed with TN. He cannot stop talking about the Vols. Especially when he is interviewed by Finebaum. Speaking of which, why does a guy like him even get invited to speak on Finebaum? It would be like me being asked to give an objective opinion about Fl. It ain't happening. But the guy is running his mouth again today and saying that the Vols will never win another National Championship.

Why would this be the case? Let's talk about it. The Vols literally have everything that every other championship level program has. We have tradition (2nd most wins and championships in SEC history, 10th most wins all time), we have facilities (ranked by 247 sports as 3rd best in the country if I'm not mistaken), we spend money with Fulmer at the helm as we have quite possibly the highest paid coaching staff in college football. The only thing that we lack is a National Championship head coach (we don't know that we don't or if we do have that yet).

The only disadvantage that we have is the lack of a major recruiting base like GA (that's really helped them win championships!). But even the talent in TN is growing and getting better every single year. This will not always be the case. But recruiting is not a problem at TN. Even coming off of 4-8 and 5-7 we finished 11th nationally in recruiting and had we signed 25, we would've been in the top 10. We still draw national talent as proven with top 50 player Henry To from Cali, former number 1 player overall Crouch from NC, 5 star Wright from WV, 5 star Morris from GA just to name a few. And we beat teams like Bama, Clemson, GA, Michigan, and Auburn for those players. That's coming off of 4-8 and 5-7, better than anyone else in the country that had a record as low as we did. Everyone else in the top 15 won at least 8 games. Recruiting is only going to get better for this staff when the team shows improvement. We haven't scratched the surface of the talent that these guys can attract to TN when we start winning. I really believe that. If we win just 8 games it wouldn't surprise me to see us finish top 5 this year. In fact, I expect it. Tell me why I shouldn't with their track record.

In other words, I think TN and Bama are the same programs. The only thing that they have that we don't is Saban. Had we hired Saban we would be where they are. We have the same tradition, we have better facilities, we have the same administrative buy in, etc. In fact, Bama went through almost exactly what we are going to from the 90's until they hired Saban. They even went 3-9 in that stretch. So to say that we are done as a program is not only lazy, it shows a lack of knowledge of football history.

The guy is a troll and I fully believe that TN has everything that it takes to win a national championship. All it takes is the right head coach. If Pruitt is the right head coach, we will win a championship some time in the next 5-10 years.
The best part is that even when we are down, we still whip that kitty ass.

the DL in the 34 aren't expected to be "playmakers" as you might find/expect in some 43 DL's, where your DE's are primary pass rushers and DT's have to be excellent against the run, and some abilty to rush inside. so i agree wiht that, but 34 DL have to do the dirty work so the LB's can do what they're ARE expected to do. and that's to stop the run and rush the passer. how you accomplish that varies obviously, stand up or hand in the dirt OLB/DE/Hybrid guys find homes here, that they wouldn't in a traditional 43. biggest thing, can the DL occupy the OL? have to be really good in the middle, NT is probalby the most important spot in a 34.

and we just don't know what any of our guys are going to look like. as for the LBs, as i said, talented, but youthful. and while you may be right about DK's smarts, athletically, he leaves a lot on the table, so i'm willing to trade that out for year 2 Bituli....

all fair. you have to like the talent potential here though, and i'm betting Crouch picks up on things relatively quickly.

the way pruitt talked yesterday, it sounded like BK would be a starter. again, if WM can be our LT, that opens up options everywhere else on the line. that could be huge.

i tend to agree. i just dn't think the OL will be AS BAD as it has been the past two seasons. that in and of itself will help. and i think JG comes in to his own, and we ahve skill at TE and WR, and at RB. excited to see what Chaney and co. can do with it.

Shamburger will have an opportunity at Star, as will Jalen Mcollough, who by all accounts has already impressed thru winter work outs....the Safeties i think get better with flowers coming back and Warrior. not concerned about Corner.....maybe depth is a bit of a concern. the DL will have to be solid up the middle, and create space for others to make plays. anxious to see how Ansley and Pruitt scheme this group.....front 7 may have some growing pains, but i do think we'll see some improvement against the run in total.

eh, that Auburn front didn't do a whole lot. they pretty much played us straight up on the LOS, and that's why the passing game was able to get going, and htey were able to still slow down the run game. plus we were pretty predictable in the run game if you remember....80% run on 1st down, lot's of 2nd and long's and we had some very clutch 3rd down conversions in that game....very clutch. communication between our olinement will be key. they have to know who to blokc, when and why. not sure they did that all the time last year......UK played us pretty much the same way on their defensive fronts.

agreed
I like that Kingston is back on the DL. Crosby is still on OL and have not heard anything on him.

Somebody fill me in on why this happened?

Basically. He thought he was on the Vegas strip, tried to buy top end talent then complained about the asking price.in short got caught by the FBI,they are currently trying to crucify him in the same ways they are with trump.except trump had zero loose ends.hope this helps👀😁

We better give Pruitt time. He’s the first coach since Fulmer to be able to hire an elite staff. Give him all the time he needs. But I agree, that 2020 class will start us on a championship direction, especially if it is as good as we all think and hope that it will be
I hope we stack up on DL and OL. 6 on D, 5 on O.

Morris at LT, Tatum at RT, Kennedy and R. Johnson at C, JJ LG, and Carvin at RG.

If people aren’t aware of the furor if the comic critics on YouTube, they will enjoy it. I was unaware and looking for a reason to join the mob, but it’s just another fun Marvel movie. I thought the character arc was decent. If you don’t expect it to be feminist in nature, then I don’t know what to tell you, but it’s mostly a good superhero film with basic issues like any superhero movie.

Enjoy

Some people will get bent out of shape over anything and turn the smallest things into conspiracies. Youtube is filled with those people. I haven't seen it yet but I'm looking forward to seeing it. Captain Marvel is one of the best superheroes Marvel has and I'm more of a Vertigo Comics fan.
