Yeah I haven't watched an NBA game in years. But the scheduling of college basketball is perfect for folks like me. 2 games a week, one week night and on Saturday (usually) and they're only 2 hours long. Especially if you record the game and skip commercials, you can watch a Vol basketball game in about 60-75 minutes. And my kids love it so we watch together many times. It's perfect!
How is baseball not perfect for someone that is busy at home? It's the best background sport there is just due to the nature of how it's played. You can either pay close attention the the individual pitcher vs batter matchups or you can just have it on in the background and still be able to mostly follow and enjoy it.

I'm not trying to call you out specifically, baseball just seems uniquely able to bring out the nit-pickiest reasons to avoid watching imo.

I think our RBs will be fine. If the Oline plays better it'll help improve their impact a ton. Just need Banks/Fant to really step into the big back role.

Some buds from work and I are going to go see it next week. Looking forward to it. I do not know why some people are up in arms about this movie.

If people aren’t aware of the furor if the comic critics on YouTube, they will enjoy it. I was unaware and looking for a reason to join the mob, but it’s just another fun Marvel movie. I thought the character arc was decent. If you don’t expect it to be feminist in nature, then I don’t know what to tell you, but it’s mostly a good superhero film with basic issues like any superhero movie.

Enjoy

He is the absolute worst. Pisses me off that the local media is so Anti-Vol. I want my local media to be homers.
No media in a place like Alabama would hire a guy like him. They would get their office burned down, or just a million little aggravations from people stonewalling/blackballing them in everything they did, and everywhere they went...We just don't care enough, which is why our media has so much "integrity"...we make it easy on them.

For me, the weakest positional group is RB.

Chandler is gold.
Tim Jordan has vision like Helen Keller.
Jeremy Banks has as much wiggle as a 2x4.
Eric Gray is injured and I just don’t think he gets more than 200 yards all season.
Fils-Aime isn’t a natural. Staff didn’t like him doing anything other than jet sweeps.
Princeton Fant isn’t a natural either.

Just an odd collection imo.
4x4 would of probably been a better analogy. 2x4s are pretty flexible... atleast in one direction.

But I agree, I don’t think RB as solid as most seem to make it out to be. However, you fix the OL and now Jordan has 20/20 vision. The whole offense lives and dies by the OL.

I was a huge baseball fan growing up. It was probably the sport I played that I could have pursued at a higher level.

But, I am kind of with Ron on this. I quit watching. I realized a few years ago that I was slipping when I didn’t know a few guys on my fantasy team and two had hit 30+ home runs the year before. I don’t play fantasy anymore either.

I have 4 kids and interest just disappeared. It probably doesn’t help that my oldest son won’t play it (have tried), and the team I root for (Rangers) isn’t very good. But you have to pick your battles sometimes.

Quay walker struggling that bad?

Jj is just behind imo
Let’s not right him off until after next spring if he doesn’t get his act together

So are you saying you are giving him basically two years to contribute? Seems like that type of time is more in line with 3 to lower 4 star type talent that needs to develop into the position... With all the analysts and hype on this kid, I will give him this past season as a wash and developing/getting his act together, but this fall we need to see him taking meaningful snaps or there should be questions...

Too many other kids of his supposed caliper coming into teams and contributing quite a bit earlier. As you can tell, I am not really sold on this kid yet, coming in last season out of shape is a red flag to me on work ethic, motivation, and seriousness since he clearly knew a lot of folks were counting on him and had high expectations. Guess we'll see... funny, a lot of folks expecting To'oto'o and Crouch to step in and help right out of the shute, but some are already making excuses for this kid who came in last season with as much hype and supposed potential.

I think some people are just traditionalist and want to see movies of their comic book characters mimicked as closely as possible.

Hate to say it but when you break it down like this, you are making a lot of sense here... I will say on Fils-Aime, you can't knock the kid for his size, he's definitely giving it all he's got and gives 100%. Hopefull someone is able to work with Jordan and Banks because there IS definitely a lot of potential there... I agree that i don't think we see anything out of Gray until next season. Shoulder injuries on RB's are just not good.

You can win games with that group. Nowhere near our weakest group. What we don't know is if we can win with our current OL/DL. Those should be the concerns primarily DL

I'll be honest and say I don't watch it because it's boring to me. I don't watch any sport where scoring is so low. That includes soccer, hockey, and baseball. Obviously it's a personal choice and many people love baseball or it wouldn't be able to pay it's players the exorbitant amount of money they do.
