Callahan said one thing holding him back in the past was mental. Granted, that's a really important part of an LB's job, but he is pretty high on his speed and athleticism.

I'm also shocked he was never redshirted. He one of those guys Butch meaninglessly threw in on STs just to get them processed faster? He blew so many RSs it's embarrassing...all for a 4-8 team.

That surprises me as well. Botch had zero feel for player potential and how to develop it.

Still has the redshirt available.

Yeah, I just meant I can't believe he wasn't redshirted either of the last 2 years. Seems a little late now with incoming talent. It feels a little now-or-never for him. If he was merely a RS Sophomore he could blossom with old man strength into a skrong 4th/5th year player.

lol gtfoh Adams. CBJ got them in Y2 and Y3. Yes, we weren't ready in Y2, but fully should have gotten them in Y3. If we aren't ready by 2020, then we never will be. SR JG, old man OL, developed DL + Solomon, old men RBs, elite LBs and CBs.

OU has elite scheme and coaching, but we will have all the raw talent that OU has, if not more. Adams is ridiculous. Maybe he's scared, but Pruitt and fans aren't. Kick rocks son.

Out of the 75 scholarship players listed on the Spring Roster, they gained a total of 258 pounds from their previously listed weights. Fitzgerald is a magician.

On the Freshman, I used their last listed weight on 247.

Top 10 biggest weight gainers:
1) Kurott Garland - was 275 now 303 = + 28 lbs
2) Ja'Quain Blakely - was 260 now 283 = + 23 lbs
3) Jackson Lowe - was 235 now 253 = + 18 lbs
4) Nathan Niehaus - was 287 now 304 = + 17 lbs
5) Trey Smith - was 320 now 337 = + 17 lbs
6) Paxton Brooks - was 180 now 196 = + 16 lbs
7) John Mincey - was 264 now 280 = + 16 lbs
8) Jahmir Johnson - was 285 now 300+ = + 15 lbs (assumed 300 since we now the listed 270 weight is incorrect)
9) Marcus Tatum - was 293 now 308 = + 15 lbs
10) Shannon Reid - was 218 now 230 = + 12 lbs

Top 5 biggest weight losers:
1) Kivon Bennet - was 266 now 251 = - 15 lbs
2) Brandon Davis - was 170 now 157 = - 13 (not sure what happened here, maybe some dyslectic intern and it was supposed to say 175...)
3) Will Ignont - was 239 now 229 = - 10 lbs
4) Darrin Kirkland Jr. - was 234 now 225 = - 9 lbs
5) Ollie Lane - was 308 now 301 = - 7 lbs

"Bowden, a three-star recruit, became the first men’s basketball player from Knox County to receive a scholarship at Tennessee as a freshman since Doug Roth (Karns High) in 1985."

That is absolutely stunning to me. With some of the teams Bearden, Fulton, and Austin-East have produced, I thought at least one other kid would have made it since then. Then again, something about Knoxville kids. Always seem undersized in all sports. Even the legendary soccer teams at Bearden and Farragut never seem to produce professional talent and rarely have 6 footers.
Hubbs said today that Drew Pember is 6'10". He is from Bearden. Class of 2019.

Between this and his opinion of canceling Bama, I'd much rather cancel Bama. It just feels kike a constant drag on us that no other team in the country voluntariky does to themselves. I know "things go in cycles" but they're guaranteed annual loss seems to further keep us down.

When part of why you cant make a bowl (12,13,18) or win the East (15,16) is one voluntary game, at what point is pride too much?

He impressed Coach Barnes enough to get a scholarship offer.
I trust Barnes. No reason not to at this point. That said, I watched him play a couple of times this year at Bearden and he didn’t do much, honestly. Could’ve just had a couple of off games. Idk. I know he was nursing some sort of foot injury earlier in the season too. Not such how much that’s affecting him.
