He’s not practicing. No contact or drills.I understand the medical severity of his condition, and that there is still a consoderable chance he will never play, and there is some debate as to if he should play again. Just feels like there is a much higher chance that he plays if the coaches feel comfortable enough to allow him to practice than some seem to believe. They are probably going to see how the condition reacts through spring practice, and if there is no return he will play next year, and if not he will be medically retired.
It's just premature to say he won't play again when you see him practicing as we speak.
-Ben McKeeDeangelo Gibbs worked with the receivers as he waits to find out if he’ll be eligible this season. Though he played DB at Georgia, he looks the part of a wide receiver and didn’t look out of place when running his routes.
Gibbs is a special talent. He can do about anything you want on the football field from an athletic standpoint. He is best at wide receiver entering his junior season, but cornerback or safety may be where he ends up down the road. He is very fluid and he can really run with the best as a defensive back. His ball skills, body control, and speed are strengths on either side of the ball. Just a natural star.
I'm watching Free Solo. I'm about to have a heart attack
I watched in the theater and forgot if he was one of the people who lives or died free soloing. Almost ripped off the armrests I was white-knuckling so hard. Fantastic movie.
I agree about the GF. Of course, it appears dude is incapable of emotional attachment. That was spectacular. Great way to have joyous anxiety for 90 minutes. Utterly insane. I wouldn't freeclimb more than 5 feet off the ground, let alone 4,000!!!
And I know he refutes having a deathwish, but he seems far too ok with dying. Then again the brainscan showed his brain is wired differently, so maybe it's too hard to put yourself in his shoes.
My wife and I both disliked the GF. She clearly has no idea what she is getting into and is far too attached to someone that can't reciprocate. Then he unimaginably hurts himself twice after meeting her. Coincidence I think not. After the climb she says "I'm so glad it's over!" and we had this sinking feeling she thought that was it for him. She has no idea.
