Dems won't let Fox News host primary debate

Trying to badmouth the only Republican News TV station while not mentioning the 20 that are a 100 times worth that get their talking points faxed from Pelosi is laughable.

Except that this isn't true. They may be ideologically in step with Pelosi our other Democrats on certain issues, but they don't actually get their talking points from her.

It might not be "her" but it is the Democratic talking points completely. If you record all the left stations on any given night, you could basically loop them together. The host would change, the message wouldn't.

Lol... keep telling yourself that. Absolutely clueless 😂

Fox News ratings directly indicate the level of viewership of the debate. To try and state otherwise is idiocy.

This only holds to the extent that there are households that get Fox News but not CNN, MSNBC, or whoever else might show the debates.

Otherwise, it's quite simple for anyone who wants to watch the debate to flip to the channel showing the debate.

I really don't care one way or another if there's a debate on FNC, but these concern-trolling posts are silly.

IDK I kinda like left leaning anchors hosting it , it keeps all the pressure on them to be fair . I think they should let Don lemon and Rachael Maddow host it together . I’d Ike to watch how long it takes them to start leaning toward the left .

I wasn't bashing Trump. I was pointing out that he probably won't be scheduling time on the "left leaning networks." You really don't get out much do you?
I bet he does. He will suck it up and make an appearance on one of them. He can out talk and move goal posts better than any of you libs on VN.

Good. Fox has largely ceased to be a news organization and are now, essentially, state media, as noted in the New Yorker article. Political bias/perspective is endemic in journalism, always has been. Fox, CNN, NBC, etc. have all had their slants, but they were apparent and still capable of asking questions of candidates from both sides. The way Fox, though, has ingratiated itself with this White House, having its members make daily conference calls and meetings with the president, helping formulate policy while then having a nightly show to comment on those policies is crossing a line.
If it wasn't so scary that people believe this it would be funny as hell.

Except that it's true. The way the Fox News media has become part of the policy making, or discussing, team is completely unprecedented and the closest to state run, or influenced, media we've ever had. I will amend my "good" with a notation for one of the few objective journalists at Fox to moderate a debate, like Shepherd Smith or Chris Wallace, especially since it probably would be Wallace doing it.
You really are like those UT fans that know nothing but the 90's. Have you only been alive for 2 years?

Poor little crybabies. The Dims want nothing but total control over everything in your daily lives & Fox want let them so they cry & cry by showing more & more sour grapes. What losers the Dims are.
Those debates will be nothing but boring TV anyway & viewers will laugh at the weak Dim clowns on stage.
Actually, it will be an absolute clown show.

Do you think worries about moderator fairness and bias would be unfounded? By the way, I would ask the same question if roles were reversed and it was MSNBC.
I understand the hesitancy, but don't you think someone in the position of moderator is going to go out of their way to appear fair?

Are a lot of Democratic voters regular Fox viewers?

This thread gets at the underlying issue here: Would the network moderators ask questions about stuff primary voters care about?

Only Fox knows their demographics. You and I do not.
Based on posts from many of the Socialist Liberals here, many lefties watch Fox. I think it is LG's favorite channel.

To be honest, I still think they should consider it. Reach as many as you can.

That is funny? You must do stand up: "A Democrat goes on Fox and appeals to a viewer." cha-cha-bang
At some point the Dem. Primary winner will be campaigning for the office of president.
That candidate is guaranteed to lose if they do not appeal to voters outside their base (moderates, etc). I think it is a smart play to expose those primary candidates to those outside the base early and often. Just as Trump siphoned traditional D voters, the D candidate could do the same with some familiarity to other voters.
