-SimontonAs noted on podcast today, hearing lots of buzz about Jahmir Johnson's strong offseason, staff also impressed with a number of newcomers including Morris, Crouch and McCollough. Big spring for JJ Peterson, too. Can he make a move at LB?
-PriceFrom a leadership standpoint, Jamir Johnson has sort of emerged on the offensive line.
Alontae Taylor has had a good off-season. Wayna Morris had dropped some weight Jerome Carvin is in much better shape and has gotten stronger.
-HubbsI think they will work him at guard and center this spring. He's 305. He has definitely gotten stronger (he got an extra day of workouts in last fall as a redshirt). However, I don't have any specific weight numbers.
-HubbsPeterson is in better shape for sure. I think the biggest question is how far along is he mentally.
-HubbsHe's been here 7 months. He never went through system install. When he got here they were in game planning so it's been a tougher transition for him.
-HubbsPeople love Chaney. I think the transition with him and Tee has been very good.
-PriceChaney after several QBs plus having Harrison in boat.
Tee making lots of headway with guys.
-SimontonPruitt & Co., have been impressed with Chaney thus far, especially in the film room with the current team. He hasn't disappointed on the recruiting trail either, building a relationship with Bailey + also look at other 2020 options.
-JSToo early to know. DT is a given at OLB, Bituli will be in the mix at ILB, but questions after that include what happens with Crouch and JJ over the next few months? Is To'oto'o ready to contribute on Day 1? What about Jordan Allen and Deandre Johnson?
-JSWe have an idea. Not going to ruin anyone's moment though.
-JSAll I'll say is the Vols should add a name to their commit list soon enough ... and before anyone speculates it's not the in-state top targets like Baron or Mays.
