Biden: Trump ‘did the right thing by walking away’ from North Korea deal

Pelosi said Trump did the right thing in walking away from North Korea talks with no deal. Now Biden says the same thing. They correctly point out that Trump is naive about foreign affairs and N. Korea and has likely learned his lesson. Plus, Biden said he thought Pence is a decent guy, which I imagine in person he probably really is.

We need more of this. Less bombast from Trump would be a nice step, also.

I'm just tired of politicians feeling they can't ever admit it when the other guy has a point. You may disagree, or see another angle for which there is criticism. But it is refreshing that we have some seasoned folks who are at least saying the other side isn't always wrong.

Here is the problem in this particular incident, however. Pelosi and Biden wouldn't have come out and patted him on the back if Trump actually did come up with a good deal. The mainstream politicians on both sides of the aisle do not want any traction towards peace to occur on the Korean peninsula. They are applauding Trump because their ultimate desires were satisfied this week because no deal was reached.

That makes no sense. If you were right, they'd have chastised him for failing to make a deal. I think in reality both Pelosi and Biden have been around long enough to know that it was a bit of a fool's errand.

Uh oh. Biden took heat for claiming Pence is a good guy. He actually had to walk back that statement.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

How so? Both of his statements were correct. 1) It was right to walk away without a deal; and 2) thinking one was possible with NK just from a meet-and-greet summit was foolish. The groundwork should have been in place before Trump got on the plane to head over there.
