Hat Crimes

In this instance, the teacher did eventually overreact, but the kid was violating the class (school?) rules by wearing the hat.

I don't think this was as much about what kind of apparel it was as to the apparel itself.
If that's the case then yeah no hats. I was under the impression it was a problem because of that specific hat.

Maybe I should start wearing my Malcolm X hat instead, might not any responses.

Youโ€™d get treated like the white kid at a college that was assaulted by a black woman because he had dreads. This whole โ€œthe white man is the devilโ€ is truly believed by the left and minorities.

Utterly fascinating thread. (kind of sad I felt it necessary to add the blue font)

You guys do realize the MAGA red hat is quickly becoming the new rebel flag.

I don't believe that at all and I am truly on the left.

probably because of the over reaction. quickest way to get someone to defend something they are "meh" about, is to attack them, physically or with words.

the more people are attacked for the red hat, the more they are going to identify with it.

Keep excusing this behavior Luth.

Might go buy me one just so I can get in on the gun.

An 81-year-old man was assaulted in a ShopRite in New Jersey โ€” because he was wearing a โ€œMake America Great Againโ€ hat, authorities said Tuesday.

The victim was confronted by an unknown man over the hat just before 3:30 p.m. Monday in Franklin Township in Somerset County, officials said.

County authorities, who are working with local cops on the investigation, would not release any further details.

The injured man, who is a Franklin Township resident, refused medical treatment.

I'm not excusing or defending it.
I think it's absurd and disgusting to attack someone for wearing the hat.
I think it's absurd and disgusting to wear the hat.
I think both groups, the attackers and the wearers, are equally absurd and disgusting.

I think it rises to a level 1/100 of what you perceive.
Youโ€™ve claimed multiple times that youโ€™ve never heard of Antifa. Whenever a leftist organization does stupid ish, which seems nearly every day, you claim to have never heard of it.

Classic

You trust the left to do something like read and comprehend?

Only in the weak minds and spines of liberals. Because in the absence of any real objective thought or evidence, it must be racist!

Are you really that clueless?

I had never heard of Antifa when I said I had never heard of Antifa. You guys went berserk in your responses claiming I was lying. I repeated the fact that I had never heard of Antifa.
You do realize that once we started that conversation about not having heard of Antifa that at that point I had heard of Antifa because we were debating the truthfulness of my claim that I had never heard of Antifa.
What you guys need to understand is that you hear far more about these non-representative, fringe, extremely rare (on the grand scale) incidents than do most people because of your choices of media outlets and sources of disinformation. It is 100% a right wing propaganda tool to feed you guys every single minor incident that will make you wrongly conclude that it is much more prevalent than reality would suggest. It's like the 20 year old Iranian guy who gets nothing but info about how horrible America is. It's like if you got an instant message and video feed every time there was a traffic fatality. You guys are so pliable it's scary. Bannon and Stone had you pegged.

I tell you what, you don't think these attacks are a big deal fine but when one day someone fights back and one of your antifa idols ends up beaten or shot no crying from you and the rest of the left, deal?

Thank you for proving me correct.

Are you finally admitting that youโ€™ve heard of Antifa other than this board?
