Savannah / Hardin County flooding.

Dang, my family used to have a place on the river about a mile north of the Savannah bridge. It's apparently almost flooded right now and people are trapped in the subdivision.

I wonder if they change the law now and say you can rebuild your house there but it's going to have to be on stilts.

They already are on stilts. The river hasn’t been this high there since sometime in the 1800s.

In order to build a permanent house. It has to be like 12 or 14 ft off the ground. A garage type place for campers dont have to be raised. My place is right there by the bridge, by the boat ramp.

I remember the (Bo-tel) many years ago. That was some good fish there. Looks like it might have floated away!

We grew up going there as kids. Spent many weekends there while fishing the river. Is there much damage to the botel?
