Apparently some Knoxville students created a fake twiiter account for a made up HS football player, and tweeted that he had received offers from Bama, UGA, and Florida, among others. No film or anything. Rivals rates him a 5.5 3* with no evaluation whatsoever. And because 247 provides composites he ends up on the 247 Composite. Well done, Rivals.

When I was at UT I played Rugby. We created a fake transfer student who was an enormous pacific Islander named Omar Tinko, and talked him up on the internet and facebook to get our opponents to worry about/prep for a nonexistent rugby god.

It does, just a few years ago someone else did the same thing except they even claimed they played at a highschool that shutdown years ago. The "recruit" even did a commitment tweet thing, rivals and others blew it up like it was legit.
