We need both. AA hasn't done either with the exception of Donaldson who we better hope is healthy. Massive hole at catcher, then average or worse at CF, RF, and SS in the lineup

Dansby will be better this year and he was pretty clutch last year

Markakis I agree with but he is a good clubhouse guy

Enciarte sucks. Maybe someone in the majors can come up?

I actually agree about Dansby, but we're hoping there as there is nothing to prove that he will breakout this year. But I'm hoping he gets over that wrist issue. Markakis will be fine for half a season and then he'll disappear, and I highly doubt that half a season will be as good as last year. Ender is valuable in CF but bat isn't good. And no, there are no OF prospects that will be ready until 2020. Drew Waters is the best bat but he isn't ready yet and Pache has serious questions around his bat in general though he is said to be the best defensive outfielder in the entire Braves organization. We're in trouble unless those other teams underachieve again this year. But all that means is that we get to the playoffs and get our butts kicked by the Dodgers again.

Why not spend some money and prospects to help us try and win a championship when we have Freeman in his prime paired with Acuna? I mean, I don't get it. Go spend some money on a starter and another position player. Instead, they're going to let the Phils steal Realmuto and they were never gonna be a player for Machado or Harper. The Phils will get one of them also. So that's letting a division rival rack up with new talent and we've only added one guy who can actually help us.

I don't think Realmuto would add much, I think Flowers is a great defensive catcher and I say never pay for one of the longest most expensive contracts in baseball. That almost never works out, ask the Rangers. I would like to see an outfielder with some real pop in their bat and another sure fire starter. That's all we need. I would love to trade prospects for that.

Braves are still the best team in the East Bass...gotta settle down.

Realmuto is the best hitting catcher in baseball. He isn't Mike Trout, but he is a massive upgrade over what we have at catcher. They had opportunities at RF including Brantley and Pollock, but chose not to go that route. Markakis was cheap. It just seems like Braves are going to be like the Vols have been most of my adult life and just keep saving money, not caring whether they win or lose. Thankfully that attitude is not in Knoxville right now and I hope it never returns. It needs to get out of Atlanta also. Liberty media has money, but it doesn't seem like they're willing to spend it. Hopefully they prove me wrong but nobody in the media is predicting that they will.

They won't be this year. Actually, Vegas currently has them finishing at 3rd or 4th in the east and the Phillies are about to get better. We are not the best team in the east.
They are better than the Marlins, Mets, and Nationals for sure. Realmuto is good but doesn't scare me enough to put the Phillies over the Braves. Could care less what Vegas says, they also had the Braves finishing last in the division last year as well.

We won the division because the Nets and Phils underachieved. Both teams, along with the Mets, got better. Can you honestly say that we got better in the offseason? Maybe at 3rd base, and that's if Donaldson is healthy. But you saw that tweet I posted earlier. Here it is again. This is what we are competing against.

And that doesn't include the Phils landing either Machado or Harper which they are trying to do.

You call it hatred, I call it a lack of trust that he can get right between the ears. I would love to see it don't get me wrong. I'll eat crow ass for a month and have a big smile on my face.
Nah he's fine between the ears. Instincts in the pocket are the big question with him, IMO.
