2019 CFB returning production, ranked a better way
Offensive Production Returning - 91%, 2nd overall
Defensive Production Returning - 76%, 25th overall
Overall - 2nd best
Johnson is going to be a stud next year as long as he puts on the weight he needs to. At Juco he wasn’t able to eat enough to (per him) and i remember when he got here last summer he had a cast on his left arm so he couldn’t really workout like he needed to over the summer. Different story this off seasonSo based on the weight discussion I noticed some things.
1. Thank the heavens the QBs have all added size.
2. Jahmir Johnson was damn productive for being so light, even gaining pounds with Fitz he was only 285.
3. OL all improved though, those who needed to add size did & those who could lose some did.

Bill Connelly did a breakdown recently about which positions’ returning production has the highest correlation with improvement. He found that on offense, returning QB (and WR to a lesser extent) has the biggest correlation to improvement and on defense secondary productions (particularly passes defended) has the biggest correlation.experience matters. how much will it matter to the point it translates to W's this time around is the question.
and you're still probably not going to have the best OL available in Smith, so until it's proven otherwise, the OL is a ? mark.
the defensive production is the one that is a little misleading. cause the DL is what's going to be brand new. i think our back 7 should be pretty good. may not matter if we can't do much up front though.
yeah, LOS is harder to project for sure, different measurments, not necessarily as quantifiable, and sacks allowed or rushing yards don't always tell the whole story.Bill Connelly did a breakdown recently about which positions’ returning production has the highest correlation with improvement. We’ve got basically everyone coming back in both of those departments, so we’ve got that going for us at least.
And in your defense, I remember you weren’t positive during those days.
This is something new with Pruitt. He's trying to build competition and this is one way to get it done under the current rules. Nebraska made a living off their walk on program when they were in their glory days.Im kind of new to recruiting but do we normally take a high amount of PWOs? I genuinely have no idea, but it seems like Pruitt is building up depth through awesome PWO kids & saving the known scholly spots for 2020.
