Amateur Hour Continues

It's another paid holiday for govt employees, that would make 11 in total. Want to combine a couple and do it, fine, but we don't need another one. Plus they can't mandate the private sector offer the same.

I have no need for Presidents' day or Columbus day. You can swap it out with either of those.

Holiday aside, there are several alternatives that would make it more convenient to vote.

The fact that in 2019 people are still having to stand in long lines is silly.

That's the last thing people like McConnell and Jordan want to do. If they had their druthers, we'd still have a poll tax.

The fact that McConnel called it a power grab really hurts this argument, IMO.

They did endorse him, I don't know if he publicly disavowed them or not. I know Trump has spoken out against the KKK so again, what's the difference? Why is one a racist because of a fringe groups support and the other isn't?
Trump had to basically be begged to condemn the Neo-Nazis, and then he walked it back.

Then your whole 'point' was for not, and.......... DUMB and IDIOTIC.
My point was black people don’t hate Trump because the media tells them too. They have valid reasons to be concerned about him. And good use to capital letters to get your point across. Smart.

Whats the difference in a fringe group like the Klan backing a POTUS and a fringe group like the Black Panthers backing a POTUS?
The Panthers have more gold teeth.........................................and maybe more teeth overall?

One difference is that one group is trying to help the majority to continue suppressing a minority whereas the other group is trying to help a minority fight the suppression of the majority.

The old black panther party seems to be pretty similar to the ANC.

That reminds me of “AMERICA IS RESPECTED AGAIN!”
Sweet edit bro. You got triggered, screwed the pooch all the way around. At the end of the day all you've said is 'Trump racist' and yet you seem to think you have your finger on the pulse of black America, but no examples of exactly how. Give a couple of examples of exactly why black people have legitimate reason as it pertains to policy, why they don't like him.

I'll wait...

Repealing Obamacare would definitely hurt the black community.

33 or 34 states offer early voting, how much more convenient do we need to make it?

Have you ever seen footage of the first elections in Afghanistan? Those people waited in line for hours under threat of attack and without complaints, they were enthusiastic about it. if voting is important to you you will make the time to get it done.

That being said, I wouldn’t be opposed to eliminating early voting and having a 3 day (thu, fri, sat) voting period but in no way should Election Day be a paid holiday.

Thanks Obama. Why don't you show the stats at the end of Obama's 2 terms in office. You wouldn't be trying to deceive people would you?
It’s like saying if Alabama’s next coach goes 8-5 in his first year, he’s better than Saban. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he didn’t actually read the chart.

Correct. We should just mail in our ballots.

There’s no good reason to have election day on a work day.

He does not deserve the benefit of the doubt anymore. It's a reoccurring pattern.

You mean thanks to the obama that said some jobs were never coming back? And "Trump doesn't have some sort of magic wand? LOL at thanks obama

Disproportionately.
Here’s a look at the Affordable Care Act enrollees:

  • 8,019,763: People who have signed up for the Affordable Care Act
  • 4,301,656: Female enrollees
  • 3,633,920*: Male enrollees
  • 2.2 million: Enrollees ages 18-34
  • 1.37 million: Enrollees ages 35-44
  • 1.81 million: Enrollees ages 45-54
  • 2 million: Enrollees ages 55-64
  • 85 percent: Individuals who qualify for an advance premium tax credit with or without a cost-sharing reduction
  • 8 of 10: Number of people who are eligible for federal financial assistance in paying their premiums. (Family income must be between 100 and 400 percent of the Federal Poverty Level to receive tax credits for premium assistance.)
* 84,187 did not specify a gender.

Among those who chose a health plan via the federally facilitated marketplace and indicated their ethnicity, 62 percent (2,360,672 enrollees) identified as white, 16.7 percent (625,934) are African-Americans, 10.7 percent (403,632) are Latino and 7.9 percent (298,515) identify as Asian. Approximately 31 percent of those who enrolled via the FFM did not report race or ethnicity.

What else you got, because that one is a fallacy? I'll give you that these numbers are from 2013-2014 but there isn't a huge change in demographics in later years.
