'19 CA LB Henry To'oto'o (Tennessee Signee)

If we actually get the last in home visit, there is still a chance. But it seems like thats not going to happen. We may get shocked here, but more than likely its over. Also, Crouch is a very different situation. Crouch visited us 6 times. Henry T only twice.
A lot easier to visit from North Carolina as well.

I know, but...dang we needed this kid. Just feels like another nut punch..Pruitt has got to find some better way of finishing on these kind of guys for us to get over the hump. And don't start on me..I am a big Pruitt supporter...

This just sucks..
He will close the gap even more when we start winning. I honestly think we have over achieved on some of these guys. How many 5-7 teams can have a possible top 10-15 class that includes 3-5* recruits as well as several high 4*'s?

This would have been a fantastic treat, but I’m just not sweating this at this point. Thought he was coming for a minute, but the sky isn’t falling yet.

Big picture, we win 7 or 8 games next year and more of these kids jump in. In all honesty, I think we outkicked our coverage on the ‘19 class. 4-8 and 5-7 and we’ve got two of the top linemen in the country, the #2 athlete in the class, and a host of straight up BALLERS. If we’re honest, does anyone think that’s what our last 3 years have earned us? Hell no. Our staff is elite. They are elite recruiters. Otherwise we’e not sniffing the top 25. Or shouldn’t be, anyway. This class is fantastic, and the product on the field will be that much better next year. All of this will be evidence of a steady (though slow) upward trajectory.

So, HT would have been a helluva pick up, but this class isn’t a failure without him. Quite the opposite, in fact. To quote Kendrick: we gonna be alright. Buckle up, y’all. I think we’re in on the ground floor of one of the more exciting periods of UT football in some time.

We've always recruited well. Tennessee recruits itself to a large degree but we've never really recruited at the level that Bama and now Georgia is at the moment. That's what gets under my skin. The only way to catch them is to out recruit them a few cycles. Bama has signed only one 3 star this cycle and he's the damn #1 kicker! 2020 is still a ways off but they're number 1 currently and I think we're like 27. I believe Florida was 5th.

They're up to like 27 commits so far and every damn one is at least 4 star. You don't catch up by getting 1 maybe 2 five stars, 10 four stars and 10 three stars each cycle. They're good cause their starters practice against better competition than what they normally play and they have depth. That's why they reload not rebuild.

It's like our ceiling is just inside the top 10 and that's good for what 4th or 5th in the sec? Everybody can say well such and such did this with the #30 class. That's called an outlier cause it just doesn't happen much. Does anyone seriously think stoops is going to win 10 games this year? Nope

UK? No. But Oklahoma can regularly play above it. As has Clemson. UF has done better with same recruiting. Hell, tell Barnes he needs 5 stars.

I believe in stars overall, but these damn Pruitt excuses are aggravating when he sticks with old school pro style offense. If he wants to play better with less, gotta open it up. Clearly aint beating bama/uga playing like bama/uga. Their talent is far superior atm and everyone says pro style requires superior talent...our strategy makes no sense.

Chaney’s run different versions of offenses...well. I expect a pro-style with heavy RPO influence from Osovet’s presence on staff.

Sorry but you have no idea what kind of offense will work for Pruitt. And there isnt any excuses being made for him.

Not sniffing the top 25 is over the top. How many sub top-25 classes have we had over the worst decade in our history? Zero. None.

10-year average is 13.5 ranked class. We're talking Dooley and Butch. I think these guys are good recruiters, a lot to prove to be elite. Maybe 1 more class will get a "new coach/come build something" bump. After that we have to recruit on actually winning and proving it. Butch failed this part and recruiting tanked. Hope Pruitt doesn't.

Chaney? Yeah who knows about him, hes ran the spectrum. Though he's seemingly gone more vanilla over time.

He could do as you say. We'll see. I'm praying he goes back to his spread roots. Spread, rpo, read option, no fullback and less power run. Bit like Mizzou. Give us a schematic advantage.

Damn y’all actin like it’s all said and done

People here sway wildly from 1 binary option to the other. It's a bit crazy. Bama has led for the last year. We led 2 weeks and people act like the rug was pulled from underneath us.

I agree to an extent. Oklahoma wouldn't win 4 sec championship in a row like they just did there. They can't get past the sec winners as it is in the quarterfinals with 2 Heismans. Clemson is very very good. I'm just not sold on them yet. They've gotten to pretty much cruise to the playoffs with the ACC sucking so bad. They haven't beat Bama without an elite QB and they should have lost the first championship with Watson since that technically was a pick play. They blew em out this year, in 1 game, but that just came out of left field. Literally nobody seen that coming and doubt they could do it twice. Auburn murdered Georgia year before last then got stomped just a few weeks later. I don't look at 1 game being the end all

Plus as a fan you have to set your mind on what goals are you good with. Sec East champions? Sec champions? Playoffs? I don't think national championships cause winning 1 in 50 years or since segregation shows that, as a university, Tenn is not championship caliber or even in the conversation consistently. With that said, I think of the big stage lol. But just to make the playoffs you almost have to win the sec. We have to go thru Bama, Georgia and Florida to do that which is a hell of a mtn to climb without the athletes and depth
