Important to note the SJ is yelling and gesturing towards Payton (not the other official) who is running down the sidelines at them both.

You can see in on the other angles

He does look off to the side of him but the other ref acquiesces to something... or at least THOUGHT he was being rebuked for something he was about to do (“alright okay” it looks like he says)

I would be looking at that guy's bank account. He had to have money on it.
I'm sure it's just coincidence that that call all but ensured that the Super Bowl would be between the Tom Brady going for his thousandth ring and the NFL's new golden boy coach/team that relocated to a massive new market.

I know. I'm just giving you a hard time. I just hope we don't have a mass exodus this year. I've heard there is a chance bone could go too.

Nobody wants it but I wouldn't blame anyone for trying to strike while the iron is hot. If this team finishes how it can then it's just part of the game. This is the team we need to go deep. This is the the year to go all out.

With the spotlight they will have the rest of the year I wouldn't blame anyone eligible for testing waters like Scho did. It doesn't mean they will like the feedback and go. Limited spots in NBA.

Imo grant leaves early if he is assured of first rd. Not sure how much more he can improve his stock. Bone I think will test it but come back because he could significantly upgrade his stock with a chance to be THE Guy. If he leaves then you have a stud five star coming in to replace.

We got some young guys in bench that with minutes who knows how good they could be with how this staff develops.

Ron Widby
Tom Boerwinkle
Ernie Grunfeld
Bernard King
Dale Ellis
Widby would kill it with the 3-point line...

I was fortunate to see all these guys. Widby might be the greatest athlete ever at UT. He was a very good baseball player, scratch golfer, and punted for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL for many years. He also played basketball in the old ABA - sometimes on the night before a football game.

I would take Boerwinkle off this list though. His main talent was being tall.

Grant Williams is very similar to Grunfeld. Grunfeld was a stocky guy who could work for a shot against anybody. I hope Grant stays another year but would be surprised if he did.

Most on here don't know how true this is. Widby was punter on the football team and a straight baller on the basketball team. Nearly a one man show. How many guys can say they punted in the NFL for years and also played in the old ABA for a season. 4 sport letterman at UT - add in baseball and golf. But he was a marksman in basketball that could also score the ball at the rim.
