I am sure they’ll throw a parade for such an awe inspiring achievement. The Dodgers made them look like a minor league squad as would any other team in the playoffs. In the playoffs you need great pitching, they have 1-2 above average starters and they did absolutely nothing yet again to address it. They did nothing to address their lack of a lead off hitter and they signed another washed up free agent to a one year deal. If they are lucky, they will limp into the playoffs again and get bounced after one series

Word. They f’ed up when they didn’t get Grandal. Maybe he wasn’t an option? Sounds like McCann May have been signed more so for insight into the Astros development methods. Hopefully he can be serviceable. I think he will be.

Let's also not forget that O'Day hasn't played yet, that will hopefully help the bullpen too

It doesn’t matter how good Acuna is they won’t put the players around him that are necessary to win and when his rookie contract is up they will let him walk. Unless the next Tom Seaver and Sandy Koufax are in Triple A, the Braves will continue to be a good enough to win a Wild Card game but nothing else.

Tehran loves the middle of the plate, it’s fast and faster with him. Today’s hitters are dead fastball hitters. They aren’t looking to put the ball in play or protect with two strikes. It’s homerun, double, or strike out now. He is a solid 3-4 in the rotation type guy but he has been one of their only consistent starters which is an issue

Sometimes you bat them first to get them out of the way. Played baseball/softball for a long time and we took crappy hitters first to get the out of the way. They may only head off one inning anyway.

Inciarte had a bad year, nothing says he’ll have a year like he did last year. I think Acuña should be in the 2-3. If Inciarte can return to form at leadoff, and steal a bag...you’d like to think Acuña, Donaldson, Freeman, Albies, or Kakes can score him. I don’t want to have to depend on the long ball.

All that said, it Inciarte can’t get it done, Acuña should lead off.

Maybe he has 2017 back with him who knows. Baseball is such a head game in all aspects. Acuna is extremely talented and they are in a tough spot because you need him up with runners on base not solo home runs but you have to have him up with runners on base if you know what I mean.
