I don't borrow trouble from tomorrow. If Phil has to replace Pruitt he will be judge on the replacement. Not if he handle women's basketball firing/hiring correctly this year...This is where we differ I don't care how much money he spends or doesn't spend.

If you don't care about the lady Vols, that's your prerogative. There are literally 10's of thousands that do though. There's been times when that's all we've had as fans as the men have sucked in virtually all their sports. Don't begrudge people for being Lady Vols fans.

From what's been posted here it sounds like Fulmer handled the extension very well with Holy.

Imo he did a very poor job on the buyout for Pruitt if he leaves for Alabama.


The holly eXtension made me Glad to see he isn't always pro coach with his contracts.

Yes it's nice to have a real ad, and not just a bean counter. Pruitt has to at least make a bowl game before anyone is going to poach him. Not sure what is to worry about. His buy out right now, it's a non story to me.

Not trying to belittle or make light of the situation. But we have the #1 basketball team in the country. I believe we have football headed there, at least we are willing to spend money on it. So I guess I'm saying enjoy the positive things that are happening right now. JMO

I think we are enjoying those, but there is no rule that says we must underperform in a sport.

It’s completely fine that people don’t dig women’s basketball, but making a quality hire does not come at the expense of your men’s team success nor football.

I don’t care much, but would much rather win than not.

I agree, and I am. This, however, is a crucial time for the Lady Vols. Pat built something that will never be repeated IMO. She basically made women's basketball what it is today.

I'm a hypercompetetive person, and I want all the UT sports to dominate.

Having a young daughter and praying she has enough athletic ability so I don't have to pay for college (if she doesn't that's fine too) and would love to take her to future LV B-ball games to say "those women are working hard for something they love. If they can do it you can too." Also for fun daddy-daughter dates when she's too cool to be seen with me. So yes, I would like to see the LV b-ball team be at the level is supposed to be at.

I want UT to win in all sports as well. I think Holly is in a no win situation following Pat. No one's can live up to those expectations. As you said Pat made women's bball.

Same here. I've attended games for both men and women over the years and I remember seats being harder to come by for the Ladies than they were the men back when Pat had them rolling. They were a money maker then and can be again with the right coach. And it wasn't just ticket sales. I saw young girls and women proudly wearing Lady Vol apparel quite often.

Stoke her interest in the sciences and you'll have a better chance of not having to pay for her college than with basketball.

While I always love the LV's winning, this is what I thought you were saying and I agree.
If FB and the men's side do well, Fulmer's tenure will not be judged concerning Holly.

Has nothing to do with my feelings, it's just reality. You are correct.
