Seems to me the Dems jumped the gun on completely buying into the Buzzfeed story, and now the Republicans are jumping the gun on the vague denial of the story being "not accurate."

Curious if you too read the SC's statement as largely designed to cool some jets rather than being a substantive denial of the general accuracy of the article.

They were already going to ask Cohen about that. It was in his sentencing documents. The Buzzfeed story, or no.

I think Schiff is talking about separate hearings before the intelligence committee. I don't think they've asked or subpoenaed Cohen to testify yet.

I don't know how to read it. It could be a complete denial. It might be directed to one part. No idea.

Could be but I would imagine that in the upcoming February hearing it will be explored at length.

Yep, exactly what was intended, I think. If the BuzzFeed story was complete bs, the statement was accurate. If the BuzzFeed story proves to be substantially true with some minor errors at the edges, the statement was accurate.
