I think they meet in the middle. They negotiate a buy-out and she “steps down”. I don’t think she would step down and leave the money.

Fulmer's not firing her. They'll work out a deal. If she wants to be involved with the university or the team, they'll create something for her. If she wants to retire, they'll do a package. It will be a soft landing.

Why is Holly being handled with kid gloves? Fulmer got a soft spot for her after the way he was thrown out on his ass in 08?

She’s also a VFL. She played and coached under Summitt and was the first Tennessee athlete (male or female) to have her Jersey retired too.

The BB team just didn't play well vs. Bama. The defense kept leaving guys wide open for shots, and on offense we threw up some crazy looking shots. But we made plays when we had to.

We are going to run into teams that frankly are just more athletic than we are. We are well coached but that can only go so far. I see losses at LSU, at Ole Miss, at Auburn, and one of the two Kentucky games. In the meantime, I don't really care if we are #1 until the end of March Madness. JMO but wanted to write this down just in case it turns out to be true!

It really isn't terribly important who's number 1 in January. The Vols are playing very well and in line for a 1 seed, which IS important. Their SEC schedule is much easier than UVa/Duke in the ACC. A very great chance UT grabs a 1 seed in the South/East. Looking at seeding advantages, you want UVa to drop some games as both UVa and UT want the South as their region. Duke wants the East

Auburn overrated. I do see a loss at UK, and we probably lose one or 2 others. UK looking good against Auburn right now, but again, I think Auburn is overrated this year

If Holly really is a VFL, she will step aside on her own volition and take a spot in the AD as should have been done several years ago. I think she has proven so far that she is out for Holly first, but that is JMO. The evidence of this is that despite the worst "firsts" in LV history continuously happening, she continues to plod along shaking her head and doing the same things.

A good example of how it should work with classy individuals was Bill Guthridge at UNC. Takes over for HOF legend Dean Smith after 30 years in the seat beside him. Takes the job for 4 years and was COY in 1998. Goes to two FF's and sees that he has topped out on his abilities. Retires with an 80-28 record and remains in the good graces of UNC and its fanbase. It all happens at basically the same age as Holly. He provided the bridge and kept the program competing at a high level until a few years later when they hired Williams.
