You can fire someone without tossing them away like trash. I think most people are over complicating things. Some amazing coaches aren't meant to be HC (Kiffin, Petrino for example). Some amazing contributors to your university aren't meant to be HC. You fire them and move on. They're not bigger than the university. Keeping on a subpar HC means you believe they're bigger than the university.

How about.. Hey mayor, got any of them keys to the city, I know someone who could use one, hint, hint. Oh, and, that Dyersburg/Arkansas bridge seems a little flimsy. You might want to close it down and inspect it for a few weeks..

The best scenario is that she resigns and is not fired.
She and Phil could make an announcement that she is taking over the lead as head women’s administrator, head of the Summitt Foundation, or maybe something with women’s HOF.
