It sure makes it more interesting to me. We can debate till death who we think we land on NSD, and what coaches leave and who replaces them. That's why I like it here. Diversity. Only semi social media platform I am on. Could ignore me if you dont like intelligent conversation.

I am not complaining. Just joking around. I should have used blue font. I am glad we can talk about a variety of subjects in this thread. Sure beats having new threads started everytime someone believes they have an original thought.

I am. Wasn't aware one way or another. Isn't Bezos a big liberal?

Jeff Bezos is a great example of woke capital.

Nothing however beats the tone-deaf wokeness of Apple. Tim Cook panders and virtue signals about how woke Apple is, yet their flagship product is produced by slave labor in a totalitarian state. Utter hypocrisy, and I can't wait to see how hard their share price tumbles after their next earnings call. Get ya put options ready!

Except there's a little used Off Topic Thread for the purpose of off topic discussions.

Great article up in The Athletic about the S&C/Admiral/Grant. Fahr Holly.

Oopsie...

I think he acts like more of one than he is because he's headquartered in Seattle lol. Amazon is a horrible place to work, from the corporate offices all the way down to warehouses.
Really? My 20 year old nephew works there and loves it. That just goes against their reputation and the generation thing all in one.

I have a friend here who was a walk on at Penn State back in the Brown and Arrington days.

He married a Bammer, but doesn’t like them. Enjoyed exchanging a sarcastic “Row Tide” today

I used to work there. It has a reputation for treating its customers way better than its employees

Personally I had no complaints but it had that reputation

Sounds like Tee Martin will be added but not likely until after NSD. Weinke and/or Johnson are likely gone but that also won't likely happen until after NSD but could happen anyday now depending on where they end up. Still some rumors out there that Pittman could join the staff as well.
Why after NSD?

So do you believe serial killers like Jeffrey Daumer had bad parents? Or were they born sick souls and no amount of "guidance" would have mattered anyway? I believe that each soul born on this planet is responsible for what they do and what they become.
I agree we all have decisions that makes us who we are. Correct direction helps a lot but is not fool proof. It works both ways, bad direction doesn't always lead to bad people.

I don't get the complaints about Amazon beiing hard work, it's not, it's an easy job, try working in manufacturing. They are very demanding and it's all about the overhead, they are it, they can't push it onto anyone else so they have to push workers. Work is work, fast food is an awful job, customers screaming at you for no reason and you have to take it because you may need the job. Working in construction where it could be freezing and your still outside. I feel like Amazon pays workers good money for a decent work. I saw an article where a reporter went to work and was saying she was crying, from what the first time you actually done anything in your life.....
Not sure why everyone is in a pissing match about who's job is the worst. Every job has benefits and things that make it bad. Let's get back to what makes this forum great. Thinking of the destruction of all of our collegiate foes and our rise back to a powerhouse.

Off-topic question. Should probably post over in The Pub.

Why the heck can't many college football teams teach kids to wrap up when tackling, like 80% of tackles in the NFL? Way too many times you see college defenders going in for the boom tackle tensed up in a ball with their hands down by their sides and at least half the time the runner just bounces off.

Bad coaching, or players just reverting to bad form during game time?

In B4 "because they are in not in the NFL".

Environment plays a part, but it's overrated. I taught school and some of the best kids came from the worst environments and went on to become doctors, nurses, teachers, etc. Some that came from the best environments are jobless and on drugs still in their 30s.

It will be all done by AI before long anyway. Also truck driving and many other jobs will be lost to robots and AI. I wonder what jobs are going to be left for actual people to do. How are people going to make money when the jobs are taken away.
Better question..how are people going to buy the crap made by robots.

See the same thing in pros. Go for the hit, head down right before, so can't see as the ball carrier dodges, jumps, or bounces off, and keeps going. Also see going for the ball, clawing at it while the ball carrier continues forward.

I can't like this post enough. China for decades has been engaged in highly aggressive industrial espionage and intellectual property theft, targeting the United States. But we gladly welcome Chinese intelligence operatives into our universities, laboratories, work-sites, and have let the Chinese dominate the real estate market on the West Coast.

But we can't speak up against this topic, let alone take any meaningful action against the Chinese and the Chinese CCP because you know......that would be.....wait for it....(choose your -ism - ist pejorative here)

Watched 60 minutes last night. China is moving at a rapid pace in this. They come over here to get educated then go back over there and brainstorm. If you can somehow watch the episode from last night, I encourage it.
That's surprising considering China has all the manual labor they need.
