He’s a career 4.5ypc guy.
Just for some reference....
Arian Foster is 4.6 at UT
Montario hardesty 4.3.

Hurd was good. Idk why you’re saying he wasn’t a good player lol. He is also one of the best RBs in pass protection we’ve ever had here
He was going to blow the career rushing record out of the water.

Agree to disagree, I guess. But you can’t deny that he made plays that helped this team. Without him we’d have gone 5-7 or worse in 2014 and we’d have been rid of your boy Butch a year earlier.
Look...I wish I had not brought this up, and my feelings about him to a degree are just emotional...all that being said...Hurd is not in the same area code as Kamara as a running talent. The guy is a freak, one of the most potent weapons in the world, and that fact would have been way more apparent to us if he gotten as many touches as Hurd. Which one is the greater weapon and should be used more is not even a question.

Is 4.5 great? Is that supposed to be elite?
It's a lot better than the 3 yards per carry you keep claiming. You could make an argument that he was more misused than Kamara. Kamara was under utilized but Hurd should have been used as a power back instead of always having to go sideways.

I never argued that. All I argued with you about is that Hurd was also good and made a lot of plays. Arguing otherwise is embracing revisionist history.

Nobody's saying Hurd was better than Kamara. Just that he's better than you are saying he was.

Jamal Lewis averaged exactly 4.5 ypc his Jr year and was drafted #5 overall the following April
I think it had more to do with the 4.3 40, he ran at the combine at his size. Btw, Jamal should already be in the NFL HoF and It's bullsh!t that he's not and Terrell Davis is. A lot better numbers than Davis except for TDs and one less ring

Ok..Hurd was good in a lot of ways. His actions his last season pissed me off, and I admit that colors my feelings about him.

Still....Kamara should have been the #1 weapon on that offense.

Dude got just about every yard on his own too. Zero blocking.
