Will Friend is highly regarded by his peers, and most people with any common sense as a OL position coach...period. He ain't the problem...period. Just like Bob Shoop wasn't the problem...period.
Too early to say with certainty. Also too early to not be giving Friend the benefit of the doubt.

And some of them, maybe just one or two of them, just being purely being unteachable for various reasons...like maybe not giving a crap?
Could have been. But we also saw plenty of it from guys like Trey Smith, Carvin, Ryan Johnson, and Jahmir Johnson, who seem by all accounts to care plenty and play hard.

My (totally speculative) opinion on the OL last year is that Helton being unready as an OC gave Friend a bit of an extra work load and probably distracted from his focus on the OL to some extent. We shouldn’t have that problem with Chaney this year. That and bringing back more experience, more time in the S&C program, and an influx of young talent bodes well for us to make a nice little step forward on the OL in 2019.

At UT 1998-2002. Lived in North Carrick freshman year, Reese sophomore. If you lived in the Presidential Courtyard dorms during that era, you know what Im talking about when I say Cheesehead.

Hahaha. I do. I lived in Reese freshman year and then Andy Holt Apartments in my sophomore year. I don’t remember how long McGee’s was around, but I figured you were there at some point when I was.

Lol...you suck! You posted this when you saw me on the board responding to someone else and knew I was getting close to your post that you mentioned me.

@InVOLuntary, all jokes aside, you are a good man. You would be welcome in my home any time. Look forward to going to see another game together.

Now, go eat some Swiss cake rolls and get ready to watch our basketVols smoke some gator tail, moran!!
Back at ya, buddy. Enjoyed meeting you at the Bristol Motor Speedway game. My have thing changed, in a relatively short period of time. We all thought we were almost back to greatness. Didn't I meet @Sugaray13 at that game?

Just read another former player is suing FSU HC Willie Taggart for $5 million after the first player suing for $11 with no end in sight. FSU better cut their losses now and terminate Taggart before this gets uglier and a stain on FSU. Surely there is something in Taggert contract to get out of this mess for FSU and not have to pay a early termination.
Why are they suing?

I did not know the Kermit Davis story until last night. A friend, who is a big MSU fan, told me that KD played at MSU, and his father was the head coach at MSU before that. l also found out that KD’s daughter graduated from MSU and her husband played golf at MSU.

I was told by an Ole Miss friend that KD thought MSU was going to hire him when they hired Rick Ray. I don’t think he was happy and now has some extra motivation at OM.
