Not bashing your statement OG, just thinking out loud here. Do we really know if Tee is an elite recruiter? USC has brought in stellar recruiting classes over past 15+ years, second probably only to Bama. When schools like Bama, USC, Florida St, Ohio St and Georgia are winning games and sometimes even when they aren't, they are going to have two to four top 15 recruiters because the 5* players are going to roll in regardless.

Tee had one really bad recruiting year and one decent recruiting year while he was on staff at UK in 2010 and 2011 before going to USC.

If he had stayed at UK, or gone to OK St, TCU or Wisconsin, would he still have been reeling in 4* and 5* players?

I couldn't name one coach, not even the UCONN guy. Nor could 95% of sports fans. We had one of the greatest coaches of any sport of all time here. It was glorious. She is gone. No coach could live up to that. Time to put women's bball back where it belongs, on the way way back burner.

A position group? Yes...at an elite level. After that unproven but has had one shot and couldn’t make it through a season.

Looks like nothing official yet. Locksley has praise for Jones, but for some reason is not yet pulling the trigger on anything official, as of late Dec, see below. He's probably mulling over the "Jones effect".

I don’t see Tee making sense for Vandy as OC, unless Vandy football really views spiting/trolling UT fans as it’s primary objective (which, I mean, in fairness... 😄).

But Mason is a defensive guy and known as an Xs and Os guy, so you’d think he’d really want an Xs and Os guru type that he can turn the offense over to. Tee is not known as that kind of guy. He’s thought of a recruiter (Jimmies and Joes guy) first. And while Vandy could certainly use some power recruiting, you also have to wonder if they don’t just have a natural ceiling in that respect that would make it tough for even the best recruiter to pull top talent.

Just doesn’t seem like Tee’s skill set is what Vandy would be looking for.

agree....mostly. it's important to Tennessee, and Summit left a legacy and tradition. not bad things.

i do think it's a bit crazy to hash out the women's bball coach like we do, but this program has a large following, for the sport, and it's important to them. they react to bad coaching like we do to football. and Tennessee has embraced women's bball....as they should.

but it's an unrealistic expectation to put any coach we have up against Pat. if we have a top 25 women's bball program, i'm probably going to be satisfied. if we don't, i probably won't lose any sleep over it. if we play in the final four or title game, i'll watch. if we're not playing it, i'm not watching women's bball.

otherwise, go lady vols....

Butch may just stay at bama as WR coach. That was the buzz early on.
