I guess the big question is, just from a perception stand-point, is whether or not we finish with a top ten class?
i don't think top 10 is in the works this cycle. i think we can get really close if we get Wright and Pickens. we just don't have enough spots left i don't think to make up that much ground, and i'm not sure who else besides Wright nad Pickens and To'oto'o we're after that would be considered blue chip guys.

and i don't think we get all three of those guys...i'd be estatic if we got two. and i'm only expecting 1 of them.

Let's just keep hyping this up...Chaney is the best OC in the SEC and he's on the hill!

Here's the NFL guys that played under Chaney while he was here from 2009-2012. Considering how -bad- Dooley was at everything this list was larger than I expected...and I didn't include special teams or OL

RB
Montario Hardesty
Rajion Neal
Tauren Poole

WR/TE
Denarius Moore
Luke Stocker
Justin Hunter
Da'Rick Rogers
Mychal Rivera
Cordarrelle Patterson

QB
Tyler Bray
Nate Peterman. Miracle actually

Boom britches.

He doesn't get the love but Chaney is sneaky good. We know that from his time here. For want of a Defense we could have won the east with what he put together here.

Exactly. At that time it was the highest scoring O in school history at 36 until Dobbs and crew broke it by a small amount. Now the D is 100% handled so the final variable and issue of contention is resolve. If they get Tee it is an enhancement and they will have two successful VFL's on the staff.

This was a no-brainer hire if they could make it happen. Chaney has personally, successfully position coached all offensive groups except RB's, which he also had a big influence on as OC. He's been a recruiting coordinator. Add in the 19 years of OC experience as well as 3 years in the NFL. He's been OC for programs in both divisions of the SEC in the past decade. Now he's been OC of a program that's won the SEC and competed strongly in the NC game. It is past time for people to give up their garbage opinions and get on board.

When you connect the family dots to Knoxville and that he even waited on Botch to make an offer before going to Arky - you have a successful OC who will be here for the long haul.

i'm not up on some of hte technical stuff you mention here lol.

but i do totally agree with you on the outside shooting. i think we've been good there, but we don't have that transition, spot up shooter than can get it up and out quick. all of our guys have to set up and shoot. that's not a bad thing. but it does require you to run your offense and create the look.

i watched May for UNC last night multiple times, take pass, spot, shoot...many times with a hand right in his face. but that's what we don't have right now. that's the kind of guy that could cause us problems, cause it doesn't matter sometimes how good you were on transition defense. he gets it, he shoots it, and he makes it.

i do think overall Bowden has gotten a lot better, and as little as two weeks ago i was questioning his value. but i've been really impressed with him, particularly in the last two games.

Lol it’s ok a Box in 1 is basically 4 in the paint 2 at both side of the free throw line,2 at the lower boxes under the rim and 1 outside guarding the point guard it’s a shooters dream to see that, other teams see admiral and grant as our work horses and they are but in March they will take on double teams and as you seen lastnight they struggled until our 3 ball opened up.i only speaking highly of Bowden a lot because I went to school with him and witnessed how much better he was in transition shooting to get a rhythm going for him to shoot lights out (klay Thompson) like..not a spot up/set shooter waiting for the offense to develop like barns has built around admiral and grant.

OT but it's going to be weird feeling out a bracket this and and not have mandatory "Tennessee wins the championship" because it'll be a legit filled out bracket with Tennessee as champs

Did you see this?

Rivals Hates Us

Rivals ended up dropping our players an average of 21.4 spots

yes, I believe we will get an OC this week. :)

Sorry my friend. I've been in South Florida since Saturday and have spent very little time on the boards. Playing a lot of golf. Return to Tennessee on Saturday.

Look for Tee to join staff fairly soon. Not sure we get things worked out on Pittman but certain Jim will try.

Well there ya go! Get ready to welcome back Tee ! Recruiting is going to do nothing but get better!

If/when Tee is hired, it’ll be the end of the curse. The clouds will be lifted and the sun will appear. All will be forgiven and the penance paid by the fans for the atrocities of the admins will be suffice. The winds of change will have shifted and they will be felt on every campus and they will carry with them a warning that the sleeping giant is awakening.

Pruitt with that blindside hit stick on UGA lastnight.LETS GO!!!!!
