To Protect and to Serve II

Even if they do charge him*, I’m sure they’ll easily find 12 dupes who will acquit him.

*And lets be honest... He won’t be charged. I’d be extremely shocked if charges are ever even considered.
No way he’s ever charged. Get ready for it...

We investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing.

Agreed, but it's a start and certainly better than nothing.
Not putting this on you at all, but Defend is right. He will just move on to another city or town and keep doing what he does. Until cops are held to the same standards as the rest of us this will continue. Again, not putting this on you friend.

No worries, and you could very well be right. There have been charges brought in other cases though and with media being the way it is now just ducking one's head and changing venue isn't as easy as it used to be. That video isn't going away.

He would have met the chair or hung out for life. **** ain't right.
I agree... that cop overstepped his bounds in a way I've never seen. He'd have kicked the guy's door in if he'd have gone inside his house. Firing is not enough for that guy. He needs to be charged and black balled. He's an unfit danger to the public

Had the guy gone inside and got a shotgun and shot the officer he'd have been justified IMO.

I didn't watch the video. I'm an animal lover, and it's Sunday, so I'll go based on the comments I've read.

I'll answer for the LEO side. Unwarranted. Unsat. Unacceptable. The officer should be held accountable under the law, same as any other person. And under the "higher standard" theory, his days as an LEO should be over.

And no, unless there's a clear threat towards the "guy", he would not have been justified in shooting the officer. Good Lord people, how casually we talk about deadly force, and taking the life of another human. The unprovoked killing of an animal is a crime, but absent a clear and valid threat towards another person, not one punishable by instant execution. My Sheperd is like my child, and if someone shot my dog for no reason in front of me, well...hopefully I'd have the presence of mind to realize that the legal standard for deadly force had not been met. I can't throw that stone just yet, though...I don't know.

As I said, didn't watch the video. But wrong is wrong. Standing behind a badge is not about "privilege", it's about "responsibility". Serve and Protect. Seems like this was an abject failure on all points. Justice should be served here.

I don’t support all cops all the time but I do laugh at those who oppose all cops at all times. They have no idea what people the deal with all the time. Lol

I’ll stop just short of calling for the cops murder. I will say all medical bills for the pup should be paid by the cop. No, not the taxpayer through proxy. I’d also like to see at a minimum animal cruelty felony charges against the guy.

I oppose the profession as a whole. Preventive policing is an abject failure. If cops simply protected life and property, it would be one thing, that’s clearly not the case.

You’re wanting a total police state. Cool.....

There are very few people that oppose all cops at all times. Not saying they don't exist, but to come in here and drop that comment in response to what has been posted in this thread(s) is lazy on your part. The overwhelming majority of these items are egregious actions by law enforcement officers.

This whole thread is full of those people who oppose all cops all the times. For S and G’s, when were the last five times you supported police on here?

Ok lol

Actual crimes have victims. It’s as simple as that. No victim, no crime. If we’d end the war on drugs perhaps we could focus on the truly violent element of society. Until then we soldier on chasing our own tail.
Ending the war on drugs creates an inconceivable burden on our medical system. You’re just moving the problem. No, I’m not including marijuana.

You’re chasing your own tail now.
