Could it be Chaney?

Well, rumor is he butts heads with Georgia's coach. Hyams and Hubbs said Georgia coach prefers another guy on staff.

Makes sense he would be looking around then.

I think he would be an upgrade on Helton and I like how he can adjust to his personnel.

Pass happy when he was at UT and ran the ball with UGAs stable of running backs.

Just based on who Pruitt has spoken with so far. The involvement of Yurcich, Briles, and Lebby seem to indicate we’re moving away from the standard ground and pound and into something more dynamic. Not always a hurry up but something that can operate faster and more spread than under Helton.

Hahahahaha, I will believe when I see it. Fulmer is still the AD, and he’s convinced that you can still win with that style of football.

Lol - Chaney was very good. I am starting to think Pruitt’s insistence on keeping his guys (Friend) is impacting hiring.
Who did Yurcich bring with him from Oklahoma State? Briles reportedly only brought two GA’s with him from Houston...one of them Clement? Pruitt’s “insistence” on retaining staff he hired one calendar year ago is a contrived issue.

Why are Georgia fans so upset at Chaney for losing the Sugar Bowl? I didn’t think they cared anymore because they were so devastated at losing to Al. :)

I think they are disappointed and need someone to blame. Happens to the best of fan bases. Aside from the Texas game and maybe LSU, I thought their offense was well balanced and well performed for the season.

so, are you saying my pick of Enos to be announced on the 8th of Jan is still in play...well alright, alright, alright...:D

GO VOLS....RECRUIT LIKE HECK!

I said that last week and didn't get any reaction. So many things point to him. The big one is the lengthy wait. There is some momentum building.

I dont want anybody from the bama, their 5 star talent across the board makes all their position coaches, coordinators look like the next best thing, but how many of them have panned out? hell, anyone of us on this board with a little bit of football knowledge can go coach there and look like a genius..

Agree. Saban has proven he can pretty much win with anybody. Some of his assistants have panned out, but a great many haven't.

Their 5 star talent makes the entire coaching staff look good. Saban is a good at evaluating talent and a better recruiter than coach.

It is interesting that so many people are giving Chaney a free pass for a poor offensive performance with almost all 4- and 5-star talent in the Sugar Bowl, while many here blamed Helton for not putting up 40 points per game after inheriting arguably the worst offensive line in UT history.

I think Chaney would be a good hire, mind you ... just find it interesting how home-fans evaluate their own OCs much differently than other teams' OCs. I suspect a similar thing going on with Georgia fans right now.

There was a CBSsports report stating that, but in their own report they also say nothing has been officially announced. Bottom line, it's not official......yet. The media/social media is out of control.

Friend is not a bad Oline coach. Pittman himself could not coach the oline up we had last year

His 3 year contract started July 1, 2016, so it should expire June 30, 2019
In his contract it reads that if he leaves before contract ends his buyout would be 20% of remaining salary. He makes $850k a year so lets just say 20% of 50% of that. That would make his buyout only $85,000, right? Surely we don't have to wait until June
