Florida is always gonna get theirs like any of the other top SEC teams.

That’s why i hoping for Leach so bad. I think Tennessee needs to think outside of the box Bc i don’t think we will ever be able to consistently put recruit Georgia, bama, LSU, and now jimbo at texas AM. I think anyone can pull top 15 classes here which is good enough to win big with a great HC

We will if we can build a good program. There’s no pull that Alabama has that we do not.

Geography. But i honestly don’t think Alabama is that elite of a program...it’s just they have Saban. The moment Saban retired they will take a massive step back.

Exactly. They’ll carry that momentum though for a little while after he retires I think. They could also make a good hire again.

Even if they make a good hire...it’s still not Saban. Best case scenario they turn into what Kirby and richt was at Georgia

Diaz may have started a trend that needs to be stopped. USC is playing a dangerous game though. Kingsbury could just tank the season if they really piss him off. That's a big catch 22.
I wonder if he's got a buyout? Any contract can be broken. Usually cost the one breaking some money.

I’ve just never understood this line of thinking. It feels like we’re much tougher on our own - Tee especially - than we are on outsiders.

Yes, Tee turned down a WR coaching position he was offered with reservation by Butch. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t have loyalty to UT. In fact, I would argue we have something to prove to him given he is largely overlooked in Tennessee history for the QB before him.

Here are the facts: Tennessee is really bad at football. It needs as many good coaches and great recruiters as it can get. Tee checks both of those boxes. If he performs poorly he will be fired - which will be tough - but that should be the case for every coach on staff right now.

Perhaps you misunderstood my point. UT fans have been very critical of Tee for turning down an insincere offer from a coach making a token effort to fulfill a bogus promise to bring UT people back to UT. Butch didn't want Tee on staff, spent little time with him and made minimal effort to get to know him or his family. Unsurprisingly, the offer wasn't a good one, so Tee turned it down. UT fans felt spurned, but I thought Tee was gracious about it.

I never said Tee isn't loyal to UT. Just the opposite, in fact.
