What does having elite classes and unreasonable expectations for recruiting have to do with beating vandy? Baby steps, we gotta start beating teams like candy, South Carolina, and Kentucky every year before we worry about those aspirations. Some of you have been stuck in the late 90’s for the last 20 years lol
You win with either elite players or elite coaching. I don't see either of those happening at the moment. We have some great players, even a couple of really good players, but the roster as a whole is sub par. How is any of this going to change?

Listen, I don’t have an agenda. But I AM sick of us being in the bottom half of the league, behind the teams in recruiting that we need to pass, and y’all acting like things are fine. We don’t need good or even great classes, we need to get elite classes and coaches in here to turn this thing around.
Who is y'all?

You are totally missing the point and I don’t feel like writing it in crayon

20 years ago. The 90s are long gone

We have recruited well since the 90’s during quite a few years but coaching has been extremely poor and that is the issue. I am all about recruiting but it’s time for players to stay in the program and actually improve.

Almost everyone is ahead of us in the SEC. We have got to climb the ladder from the bottom.
This. This is going to be a long and arduous rebuild. I would be willing to be t it will be at least 5 or 6 years before we are even remotely challenging for the east. This is not a slight on Pruitt as he's doing about as well as anyone could. I said this several years ago but the further you get from relevancy, the harder it becomes to regain it. We will most likely see some up years, and down years before we see consistency. While our recruiting is good, it's not on the level we need it to be to challenge for championships.

The problem is, we're not even gaining. To gain on someone in front, you have to be ahead of them in recruiting. Right now we're pretty far behind all the front runners.

Who are we going to hire that will be able to outrecruit Bama? I get where you're coming from, but we're not yet in a place to get those "elite" classes, and if we keep going through coaches like we have, we won't ever be. It's not like we're recruiting poorly, especially for a team with back to back losing seasons. There is no quick fix. Right now, we're in a position where all we can do is hope for improvement.

That's a great question, hopefully our crack recruiting HC can get out there and hit a homerun recruiting an OC.
