I don’t think the plan, at this moment, is to make two hires.

So what I think we’re seeing here with new rumors is that Pruitt knows Lebby and Tee aren’t worthy of the full OC role. Hiring either one of them leads me to believe Friend would also get a bump up.

Of course, to hire Chaney, Sark or someone on that level, you won’t be able to make them “Co” anything. They’ll want full control. Which I believe was also sold to Helton but ultimately ended up to not be the case.

Co-OC can be a pretty meaningless title. Look at Coley for UGA; he has no play calling duties.

Bringing Tee in as Co-OC under Sark would make sense because he knows the offense and would be a guy Sark could bring with him. Weinke is the odd man out here hopefully.

I don’t think he has any high level OC offers.

He’s looking at WR coach offers from Louisville and GT.
We know there are still several highly successful and experienced OC's still available, Sark, Chaney, or possibly even Enos and who knows how many others. I would be happy with any of those 3 named. And Kitchens may wind up in play as well. I am not sweating this personally. Sure, I would like to see it get done before next weekend like most. But I continue to believe that Patience is a Virtue and it will all work out and most of us will be pleased with the outcome. In Pruitt and Fulmer I Trust!

My bad, then. I just think there's a lot of backstory between Tee and UT and both sides need to take a hard look at how that could play out.
I’ve just never understood this line of thinking. It feels like we’re much tougher on our own - Tee especially - than we are on outsiders.

Yes, Tee turned down a WR coaching position he was offered with reservation by Butch. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t have loyalty to UT. In fact, I would argue we have something to prove to him given he is largely overlooked in Tennessee history for the QB before him.

Here are the facts: Tennessee is really bad at football. It needs as many good coaches and great recruiters as it can get. Tee checks both of those boxes. If he performs poorly he will be fired - which will be tough - but that should be the case for every coach on staff right now.

I know this is way off topic but would like to know from some of you mid-staters which TV/Internet svc is best bang for the buck right now. I currently have U-Verse(U-200 pkg) but my monthly bill is now close to $200. It offers all my sports channels and my wife's hallmark channels but is getting too pricey for my liking.

Is anyone else just as curious to hear what Doug Matthews says when this is all over than the actual hire itself? I wonder if he has been right all along or was misled or just flat out lied
