Would it be accurate to say Pruitt trusts Fulmer beyond just being a boss? You make some good points. Pruitt's a pure football coach. Running a large, high-profile program is a big job and involves a lot of things Pruitt doesn't really like to do. Fulmer has taken some of that responsibility off Pruitt's shoulders so he can focus on the team and recruiting. But ultimately the HC at a program like UT has to keep a lot of balls in the air. He has to hire people he trusts and let them do their job so he can do his. I think he's still learning how to do that.
The McClendon discussion here died quickly too.Search is kind of playing out a lot like South Carolina last yr. muschamp was looking for an upgrade. Talked to a lot of people and felt the better option was his own staff member. Peoople laughed. Now they aren't laughing. Could be same thing here. People could laugh at first but let's hope they aren't when it's gametime
