We only have a big yard and lots of time for training and playing. They generally tired each other out. They learn tricks so fast. I grew up with heelers on a farm up north. Don’t think I’ll ever own any other kind of dog again.

My dog started eating his own poop. So I looked it up and it said it was ok as long as he doesn't eat other animals for parasites

Sometimes that means they aren't getting enough nutrients in their food.

The wife and I took our 16 1/2 yr old Shitzu Gizmo to Destin with us this past October and drove over to Gulf Shores during the hurricane passing thru and ended up having to put him down while there. Some friends of ours have a beach house there and we buried him in the back yard. We both miss him dearly.

Yeah our beagle was put down in May. 13 years old. Cancer in her mouth, turn ACL.... She was a mess. But a good dog. The puppy is my daughters' Christmas present. A rescue. Dachshund, German pointer, chiaua mix. So far so good on the poop eating front lol
