When you can’t hire the man just hire his son in law.

He may be the best guy for the job but it’s a little disappointing after all the other “names” we’ve heard the last 40 days.

He said he won't rule ANYTHING out, including from within because doesn't know who the hire will be.

How does that become
"Larry says we're promoting from within", so easily?
And why does everyone believe everything he says EXCEPT for when he clearly states that he doesn't know and giving opinions on options only.
That part, people have no problem overlooking. Just puzzling.

Yes it is interesting. What little I watched UCF this year they looked well coached. And Lebby I thought did a great job with the QB after their star qb got hurt.

It's obviously hard to know what's truth and what's not in this search but I think it's clear Pruitt is wanting to head toward the air raid high paced offense.


I have made it known I don't want that but if Pruitt with his defensive background wants it so be it.

Sure looks like to me Lebby was the fall back guy to Yurcich which we thought was in the bag.

Lebby/Martin Co-OC’s? We’d certainly get a recruiter with Tee, but I thought Pruitt didn’t like the whole Briles “we don’t have a playbook” approach that Lebby would bring?

Wonder how many posters were on Gridscape back in the late 90's . Concept was very similar in that there was a bb board, general board and a recruiting board. Chuck (Grid) ran a good site and it was policed rather well. Eventually he sold it and it became Inside Tennessee, then Scout purchased it and is now defunct.

That was my favorite site for UT info. I joined in 1995 when I moved out of state. It was my only source for UT info since I moved over a 1000 miles away. Times sure have changed though.

Not excited about Lebby at all (for the Baylor stuff) but the hire makes sense. He’d take the promotion and pay raise and we seem to want someone with an outsiders point of view on offensive systems.

Bringing Tee back would excite me. No one would sell this university to potential recruits than a young, charismatic coach who has reached heights unmatched by anyone else at QB for Tennessee.

Lebby is an interesting candidate. Most people look at Briles system as pass happy, but Briles wanted to run first. He would run at you 20 times until you stopped it, he just spread you out to do it.
