One thing that I really like about Pruitt is he doesn't care what someone else wants. That is what has been wrong with UT worried about perception and not getting the best candidate.
The only that thing matters is WINNING.
If the Oc win it will not matter who he hires or when...
JUST WIN.

Not only that, but Fulmer is supporting him 100% in his search and providing him with all the tools neccessary. The next OC will be paid over 1 mill.

That’s the point. Paul indicated the reason the Browns denied it was to give the new (not yet determined) head coach the “option” to retain Kitchens.

He also said this basically tells Kitchens Clevelyhas no interest in him as HC even though he is set to interview for the HC in the next few days.
If Kitchens doesnt get the HC job (he won't) and isnt retained, a. that would be a pretty stupid move by the Browns and b. he will still have plenty of time to land an OC gig in the NFL. Bottom line, he ain't coming here.

I don't know, but he interviews for the HC gig next week for the Browns and it seems like he has several options as OC elsewhere in the league.
He doesn’t have OC chances in the league other than the Browns due to Cleveland blocking the interviews. Other teams will move on to other options. It seems unlikely he’ll get the HC job considering Cleveland is blocking him so he is an option as OC in Cleveland.

Cleveland OC, college, or sitting out a year seems to be his options as a result of Cleveland blocking him.

If this was any other NFL team I would say Kitchens 100% stays put as the OC. I don't think he is proven to deserve a HC job yet, and unsure he wants one. But it's Cleveland...they have proven to not always make the best moves.

If they block Kitchens being able to move and hire a HC who wants his own OC the chances another gig is still available at OC in the NFL are slim.

Browns should interview Kitchens & Williams at the same time. One question, "Can we keep things as they are with you both here?"

Fine, Kitchens is our new OC now...

Bolded is most likely untrue IMO. All depends on the Cleveland timeline.

The question of him being retained as OC or given the HC job in Cleveland will be wrapped up way before most of the vacant OC positions are filled, you can pretty much bank on that. He has a ton of more options that what you are presenting.

I think Cleveland should keep him and believe Greg Williams would for certain. What if Williams doesn’t get the HC job? (I also do not see Kitchens getting the HC job)

Many new coaches want to bring their own staff. No guarantee a new coach would retainKitchens.

I'd be willing to bet a small wager that GW is named HC and he keeps Kitchens.

On the other hand, he has several teams lining up to interview him for their OC position. He is an NFL coach.
But Cleveland has blocked those interviews. Those option are gone or will be before Cleveland makes all of their hires and/or releases Kitchens.

Yes, I took the time to read the article and the advice and words from a guy who pissed away his pro career because he couldnt stop with the drugs and wouldnt put down the bottle. Not the mention the ******* assaulted a police officer about 10 years ago on a DUI stop. Forgive me if I dont take anything he has to say on character or what a student athlete should do with any measure of worth.
I'm glad you read it - he acknowledges his issues when he says in the article: "I’m extending some free advice because I know all too well what can happen when an athletes’ character is left unchecked."

You may dislike his character - but his words say what I feel and what I have been taught by my father, my "coaches", my peers, and teachers I've respected.

You're missing the point...a ton of these teams will be waiting until playoffs are done for their potential candidates anyway.

Like I said I believe Kitchens was Pruitt's guy, but after what he did as OC I am certain he gets an OC job offer in the NFL. So he's not going to be at UT.

Helton's salary pretty much sets the floor at $1.2 mil. An experienced OC will want more. Unless Pruitt lands a shark, UT will probably overpay.
good. then we can just say "we expect, therefore, we shall".

we'll see what throwing money at it really solves. lol.
